Clay Aiken!

I prefer Clay stick to balads, myself.

I thought Kimberly Locke did the best tonight. Followed closely by Rueben, who is always on. He'll win the whole thing, or at least he should.

Clay did awesome tonight!! People have been complaining that all he ever does is ballads, but he proved that he can also do something upbeat.

And thank you Simon!!!!!!....for finally saying something negative about Ruben. It has bothered me that all we hear is so much praise from the judges, when he is not that good! I'm glad somebody finally mentioned that he's getting boring, because he pretty much sounds the same all the time.

I love Clay!! He definitely gave the best performance tonight.

I agree that Ruben is getting kind of boring...I don't really see what's so amazing about him. He's good, but not that good.

I also am glad that someone......even if it had to be Simon Legree....make note of Ruben doing the same thing all the time! I truly enjoy him but he's not "stretching"....and the judges are always harping on that for others.

This is petty but everytime he performs he gives a big smile and stretches out a hand to the audience and/or the camera.....but that's all he really does. People have complained about Carmen doing the "Marcia Brady" dance all the time but Ruben doesn't do much himself.

I thought Clay did a fantastic job! The judges had said on previous shows that they wanted him to do something upbeat and he nailed it tonight! I thought he was the best tonight. Ruben was good, but he needs to do something different (like Clay finally did tonight). Kimberley L did a great job too. Trenyce, Kim C. and Carmen didn't do it for me tonight........... Go Clay!! :)

Clay was awesome and so good to see him do something different.

I have never liked Kim L, but tonight she looked her best and did great.

can't wait to see the tape(and my first crush on someone from reality tv at that:) )

Heehee, my friends and I call this the "Please dont take my baby away!" move. Now it cracks me up every single time he does it.

WDW Poly Princess:I saw it called the same thing on a AI board and it cracks me up just as bad

Reuben is OK...not the greatest, just OK. But, it looks to me like he might win over Clay and Josh. Popularity DOES count, and he seems tp be Popular! Bottom 3 tonight: Carmen, Kimberly C and Trenyce!

Clay was great!!! Awesome!!! It never even occurred to me that "Tell her about it" would be good for him.

I'm so tired of all the garbage about him singing the same every week. HELLOO can anyone say Ruben. He is Luther every week, every genre. Thank God Simon woke some people up last night.

Ruben is by FAR the best, an amazing voice and good personality. Clay seems very cheesy, I could never buy into him as a legitimate performer, maybe as a 2nd rate Broadway performer.

Another Clay fan, here. I think Ruben is okay, but just don't see why he's so popular. Maybe I missed something in the earlier episodes (just came on a couple of weeks ago), but he just doesn't do anything for me. Clay, on the other hand, has the voice, and that's what counts. He can learn to do more on stage, but no matter what he's sung, he's nailed it in the ones I've seen.

Actually, I don't really *like* any of the singers on AI except Clay. Ruben is okay, Trenyce is good on certain songs and certain parts but some of the stuff she tries gets really off, Josh should be on Nashville Star instead (and conversely, Brandy from Nashville Star should be on AI instead), and the other three ladies just haven't done their songs that well IMHO.

The only exception I've heard was the God Bless America version they did as a group -- that was fantastic.

I only came along a week after Vanessa was voted off(and I kinda liked her)

He just isn't pop star material in my book. I've said all along he's made for Broadway and/or Vegas. When he first started singing last night I about died. I thought it was horrid. I couldn't believe that he was going to sing that song SLOW! I was pleasantly surprised when he kicked it up a notch. I think he is popular enough and just good enough to make it to the final 3.

Another vote for Clay. He's definitely the most unique, I think. Ruben has a beautiful voice, but his style is exactly the same, week after week, and, as everyone keeps saying, "he sounds like Luther Vandross" and we already have a Luther Vandross. Shouldn't the AI have something that makes him standout?

I thought it was kind of prophetic that during Billy Joel's interview, he said that he DOESN'T LOOK LIKE A POP STAR.

Thank goodness artists like Billy Joel, Elton John and Barry Manilow came along in the 70's - today, Simon would have tossed every one of them out of the running because they didn't have "THE LOOK"

Clay was great! I do think all the Clay fans are really going to have to vote like crazy when it comes down to the wire. Simply because of the type of pop stars we have today, most are horrible singers. people out there are certainly not voting on singing.
I also think Clay is the most sincere person there, that counts for alot in my book.
