For my kids' school to celebrate their birthday they are allowed to bring in treats for their classmates. They are not allowed to be anything edible, however. No candy, no cupcakes (food allergies). The school suggested, pencils, bracelets, bouncy balls. I want the kids to bring something 'fun' their classmates would like. I don't see kids getting too excited over pencils. You know? I don't want the kids to take something just to 'be nice' then toss it when they get home. Any ideas? My kids said they want something 'disney-ish'. They are in kindergarten. I have a daughter and a son. There's about 60 students too.

Thank you!!:thumbsup2

Hi, you could get Disney silly bands! I have seen Fab 5,Tink,Toy Story, and Cars!

not disneyish but how about playdoh...

We've made little notepads to go along with the pencil~ we used the little notepads that you get in large packs at office supply stores like Staples, Office Max, etc.
We measured and cut cardstock over the pad and made a little folder-like cover for it. We stamped the cardstock in the theme we wanted and made it colorful. We attached the notepad with double sided tape (pretty durable).
Then we tied up the pad and pencil in a ribbon.

The kids really liked them. A lot of them kept them in their desks at school to doodle on at indoor recess.

I have to second this idea. My 2nd graders love the little spiral-bound notebooks. They like to use them when they have a little extra time after finishing an assignment, or like the PP said, during recess.

My DD has received glow sticks as a school birthday treat. Also, fun shaped erasers are popular.
