UOG now recommends MK on the Monday for our 05 trip (Feb 28) but TourGuideMike (who has just posted his recommendations for 05) maintains that because most folks start their WDW trips on weekends, and visit MK on,their first full day, MGM or AK are better choices on Monday.

These two planners develop their recommendations using very different methods. You might say TGM's is qualitative (he's there every day, runs a company which is on the ground touring constantly, has lots of contacts from his former CM days, etc.), UG's is quantitative (data, variables, spreadsheets, oh my!). I think there's a peer reviewed journal article just wiaitng to be written on this .... LOL!

Any experienced DIS-ers have any hunches about this? We've already got our LTT dinner PS, timed to end just before Spectro that night, but maybe we should stay out of the park that morning???

Hey! A lot of people DO start and end their vacations on Sunday, and the MK is usually the Magic Kingdom (making Monday a busy MK day). However, not EVERYONE follows this strategy. I heard Monday is a good day to go to the MK - if you already have a PS at the LTT I'd stick with your original plans!

Thank you! Probably in the scheme of things, it won't affect what is sure to be a great trip!

Honestly, we are all so lucky to have so many capable people helping us with our WDW trips. It really is a challenge to plan these things! LOL!

:cheer2:

I'm not sure who's right, and I hate to go against the numbers, but I think Monday looks like a good day for Disney Studios because they have their EMH days on Sundays and Wednesdays. The Unofficial Guide folks tell me that the crowds in MK are not busier on Spectro days and weekends. Even though I want to trust their numbers, I still feel like avoiding MK on Mondays because of Spectromagic, and definitely on the weekends.

The best day for MK in terms of crowds is probably Tuesday, but I think that is very hard to predict now that there is only one evening entertainment option per night (Wishes, Spectro, or EMH).

Regardless, the crowds are probably light enough that you'll be fine on a Monday in late February.
