I was wondering if anyone has stayed in this hotel. I was on priceline and it showed up. It looks like alot of fun. But how safe? How near Disney is it?

Thanks :goodvibes !

Hi!

My family stayed there this past spring. I thought it was a really cute version of a "Pop Century-like" hotel. The furnishings in the room were all new, we had a fridge and microwave oven also, and free internet. There was no free breakfast at that time. The floor in the room is tiled, not carpeted, which I found actually to be more sanitary.

As for the waterpark---we loved it!! It's hard to pull kids away from this neat place, so we didn't even try to do the parks during our stay---the water park was the destination for us. I wouldn't even try to go to Disney, Universal, etc. when I've already paid for a nice hotel with an amazing waterpark. There is a buffet breakfast for which we were given 1/2 price coupons (we didn't use though), and there is also a business room with free use of a computer on property. I got a non-alcoholic strawberry frozen drink from the tiki bar, and watched my child happily playing in the lazy river.

It is a safe area, though on the outskirts of Kissimmee. The Florida Turnpike will drop you right off at a light next to the resort. Take a right at this intersection and look closely for the signs. You're right at it. We found a Cici's Pizza up the road on 192, and there's also a variety of the regular burger joints too. There's a K-Mart within driving distance (and Big Lots and Family Dollar) for anything you forgot to bring.

I highly recommend this place, but I do know that the resort fee has gone up to $12 for the time being. I paid $8 and thought it to be a bargain. I wish Disney could figure out how to do the same with some of their value resorts.

THANk YOU SWEET MAXINE! My DD12 is turning 13. She would like to go to Orlando for the day w/a friend. I was looking around for a nice resort. I happened to come across this hotel. We could spend the day in property and then goto DTD for the evening. THANKS AGAIN!! :cheer2:

You're welcome!

I think this would be a great place for a special day of fun. What kind of rates did Priceline offer for this hotel? I'm curious, as I know Southwest Air had a special a month or two back for ~$79.

I should add also that we usually stay in condos during our trips to Disney, but we've also stayed in every level of hotel/resort on Disney property. I felt comfortable and did not have any security or safety problems during my stay, and in fact plan to return to the Clarion waterpark sometime in the future.

I'm very excited and definetly booking this hotel. Clarion is asking for $89. a night. I'm wandering if I do a bid if I could get it cheaper. Then I could do it for 2 nights. But I'm to chicken and never have dovne a bid. So, I'll pay the $89.

Thanks Again.
