Clarion Maingate

What should I expect? We have connecting rooms for 6 nights before moving to Sheraton Safari for 2 nights.

We stayed here for 3 nights in December. It is not a fancy hotel, but it is nice. The rooms are large and they are clean. There is a small pool with a snack bar/bar. We ordered the chicken strips and they were really good for a decent price.

We had a room with 2 double beds. When you first walk in the door there is a sleeper sofa..nothing else in that section but the sofa....then the bathroom which is pretty big and then the room...the closet is next to the bed against the bathroom wall and is built out rather than in. But, the rooms were very clean.

We never did try the restaurant, but the menu looked good.

The location is good. Close to the maingate road, but in the really busy section..Lots of traffic. Lots of food options close by as well as some souvenier shops....

We received tihs hotel through Priceline and thought it was worth the price.

Thanks for the information. Hotel doesn't sound like there is anything awful about it. We also received our rooms through Priceline.

No, not awful at all. There was not anyting bad that I can say about the place...it is not the Ritz, but I knew that when I bid on that quality level on Priceline.

I also just won this hotel on priceline for $30.00. I was wondering, is this the Clarion behind Animal Kingdom? Next to the Holiday Inn? Also, can you hear the traffic from your room? If so I want to bring my sound machine.

Yes, I did 2.5 stars and started off at $25.00, then using a *free bid* with kissimee, I raised it to $28.00, rejected again I raised it to $30.00 and added West Disney area. Gosh, you used to be albe to get a 3 Star at $30.00! LOL I'm going May 3rd.
