Clarification on Halloween party/max pass/DCA

I am unclear on how many hours the Halloween party gets us in DCA. Is it ONLY the 3 hours prior to the party start time, or is it the full evening?

I also just read that max pass is included in party tickets (I need to read up on how Max Pass works to really understand it well.) By that, can I infer that I can use max pass for BOTH parks on the same day during party hours?

I've read thru the ticket info and don't see anything about MaxPass. In past years, Fastpass hasn't been available during the Halloween party.

From what I understand you can go into either park 3 hours prior to party start time, and of course stay in that park as long as that park is open... so if you choose DCA you can stay there the whole evening, but then you will miss out on the actual party which is over at DL. I am fairly certain most people that start at DCA will switch over to DL shortly after the party starts if they have party tickets. I am uncertain about max pass, I thought it was only available during non-party hours, but if you stayed at DCA, I suppose you could use it the whole evening, again, since the party is not at DCA.

With MHP tickets allowing you entry to either park 3 hours before the party, it helps spread the party goer's over a larger area.

When I read info/details for MHP I don't see anything about MaxPass.
MHP tickets include PhotoPass, for photos during the event

So we can go to DCA at 4pm, then hop over to Disneyland for the party, then back to DCA at, say, 10pm for a ride or two?

Not sure what your dates are, but DCA closes at least an hour before DL, sometimes 2. So technically, yes you could squeeze in a ride or two at DCA at 10 pm, assuming they close at 11 that night.

If everything stays the same as it was last year, your MHP ticket gives you park hopping privileges all night as long as DCA remains open. So you can start park hopping when the early entry hours begin (3 hours prior to the official MHP start time on your party date -- either 3 pm or 4 pm) and keep hopping until DCA closes. Then you'll spend the rest of your night in DL.
Last year, some party goers reported that MP came free with their ticket, but it only worked during the early entry hours because the FP system doesn't work during MHP. And, by the time the early entry hours begin, many/most of the FPs for the headliners will be gone, especially in DL because that park will close so early to day guests. For example, last year, lots of MHP guests entered DCA and ran right to GOTG for the MAD overlay. But, the FPs for that ride were long gone by then (lines to enter DCA were very, very long), so free MP with a party ticket wasn't much help. FPs for RSR were gone by then, too. At DCA, I think people were mostly looking for cancelled FPs to show up. It is worth using for the free PhotoPass during the early hours -- but MHP tickets came with free PP last year anyway. So... while free MP with a party ticket sounds great, you have to be savvy about using it.
