CL YC vs GF deluxe king room CL

Yes I did see you posting that. So sorry. Are all the rooms from 4201-09 the same?

Yes, I believe so. We’ve been in 3 rooms on that hall, only this one since the remodel. And sorry about moving those comments. I never know if I should edit a post or just make a new one, lol.

So I have taken your advice, GADisneyDad14, trishadono and mrsap advice and made a reservation for the deluxe king room CL at GF for March. If the YC construction is too much by February, then I will cancel YC and take GF. I will see what everyone posts by then. GF seems to be a good opportunity to experience something different like GADisneyDay14 told me. If there are other things to know, please contact me. I will request rooms around 4201-09 and hopefully get one. Thanks again to everyone.

Just something to keep in mind: there might be construction going on at GF as well. Although nothing has been announced, notices have been going out to guests for stays next year. The lobby was never finished, and might be completed then. Keep an eye on the GF Thread for updates!

It would be hard to let go of the Epcot area since the main reason for the trip is F&G, but I just like GF so much better that it's tough to be objective, and that's knowing that GF and CR have atrocious access to Epcot.

As pointed out, the vague Jan-May renovation info for YC rooms is also nerve-wracking.

Aside from the gorgeous rooms at GF, that huge, huge club - all that glorious space - blows the other lounge spaces out of the water, IMO, except maybe Tower Club. I would book GF, keep checking back for resort view CL to knock a coupla bucks off/inconvenience of 2nd floor off if you wish, and just plan to rideshare to Epcot if you are trying to do anything in the morning, like EE.

Thanks, I made a GF reservation for the deluxe king room and I still have my YC CL room. I will see how all of this plays out. I don’t mind grabbing a Minnie van if the monorails are too much. I figured it a 5day 4 night stay so two of the days are Epcot days, one MK and one play it by ear. Thanks for your help.

I mean, no matter what, you're CL. It will be fantastic!

Nice! You'll have a great stay either way. GF RPC is awesome. My daughter is a CM there, so I'm biased. But the food is excellent, as are the views. I always monorail over to Epcot and don't find it a problem at all. I enjoy that ride, honestly.

That’s really good to know. Hopefully if I see her, I can mention that you recommend GF for me. You can let me know what her first name is if you want in a private message.
