I see people saying that the CMs on CL make their ADRs before they arrive. If you go this route, do you always get the ADRs that you want (assuming that you put in your request before the 90 day mark)? I am interested in knowing if this gives you a leg up on everyone else or not. Please list your experiences. I might be willing to go up to CL if it guarantees a ressie to CRT.

It has been our experience that we have always gotten everything we wanted we we stayed CL, including CRT every trip within 30 minutes of the time we requested. I don't know about Le Cellier because it was never on our must do list, but we got Cali Grill, V & A, Jiko, Sci Fi, Coral Reef, CRT, Brown Derby Fantasmic package, etc with absolutely no trouble whatsoever. Even when we booked our trips well within the old 180 booking time frame. I don't know if it is still just as easy to work with them now that the booking window is down to 90 days, but I would guess that nothing has changed. This was still true for us as of a year ago (our last stay CL), although admittedly we were going at a less crowded time than free dining. We did go during free dining the previous fall while staying at CL, and we did get exactly what we wanted then, too. I don't know if we were just very lucky every time or if CL gets you extra priority. Based on our experiences, I would say your odds of getting what you want increase substantially at CL.

We always stayed CL until we bought DVC... no longer staying CL is the closest thing we have to a regret about owning DVC, but the size of the rooms makes up for it. Sure, we loved the free food and drinks, but we particularly loved someone else handling our ADRS, and the ease of making changes through quick emails.

I was figuring that this might be the case from what I was reading. DH and I are thinking that just this alone might make CL worth it. We aren't planning to go until the end of 2010, so we have time to save for CL. Thank you for the info!

We have stayed CL countless times. CL does not guarantee ADR's and there may be cases where their unable to secure an ADR. We had a case where they were unable to secure an ADR...it was due to an error on their part. In this instance, we found the CL staff helpful, since they continued to try to obtain the desire ADR and at the two week mark prior to our arrival they obtained the ADR.

If you do elect CL, you will receive a complete ADR schedule for your trip from your assigned IPO. Please ensure you check it closely as we have found them more prone to making errors in the last few years.

This was not for my family but a few years ago while my family and I were staying Club Level at the Contemporary we were waiting for one of the Cast Members, however they were helping another family who tried to get an ADR for the Concourse Steakhouse. Anyway we overheard the Cast Members say the only time they had available was 9:00 PM, however they asked for an earlier time and were told nothing was available. So just because they were staying Club Level they could not get the exact time they wanted.

I was meaning more @ the 90 day mark, not at the actual time of your stay...That would be way too much to expect lol imo....

For our upcoming stay, CL could not get my sister Le Cellier, so if getting your reservation is why you stay CL, I wouldn't do it.

...I always call the Itinerary Planning Office for my resort a couple of weeks before my 90 day mark with all my restaurants and preferred times. They have never failed to get everything I asked for. This is one of the reasons it is worth it to me to pay the extra for CL...

We are staying CL and because our party size is 11, and since we only booked about 60 days out, the IPO has not been able to secure us many Dining Reservations. Actually only 1, of the ones that I asked them to try for.
I asked them if they had anyway of keeping their eyes out for cancellations and was told "NO" that I would have to just send them an email on the days that I want them to check again, so I've just been doing it myself, because I check nearly every day and it has paid off, I've gotten some that were previously filled. I have the phone bill to prove it...:rotfl:

I'm sure if you book before the 90 day mark for your ADR you'll be much more successful than we have been with the IPO though.

1) IPO, who does ADR's for Club Floor has no advantage over regular people.
2) Sometimes during your stay they have extra pull AT THEIR OWN RESORT.
3) Once in a while concierge between resorts can make deals or do favors.
4) So, do not expect all your ADR's just because you do Club Floor.

We stayed GF CL last year and concierge helped us get back into 1900 Pare Fare later in the evening when we missed our ADR because our flight was delayed. We tried again the end of the trip by getting into Kona without an ADR and asked them to call for us. They couldn't get us in until late in the evening so we had to pass. They got us in at the GF Cafe though.

This year, I sent my requests in early. Made a ton of changes, all of which were noted in my file. I received my itinerary from them by noon of my 90 day mark with everything I asked for within an hour of my requested times except for 'Ohana. I knew they would have trouble finding that one for me because I was reading about how difficult it was for everyone else earlier in the week. CL said they would try their best to keep looking for me and that they "are working on it". I have a feeling they will be able to get that one for me by the time we leave. We love the services of CL...definitely worth it!

I wonder why they are willing to keep looking for you, but told me they couldn't do that. It seems like everything Disney..."It's all in who you talk to"

Some get lucky and some don't. I'm so sad they wouldn't keep trying for Chef Mickey for us. We are paying for 3 CL rooms and it's the one reservation that my little ones really really wanted. Which is why I call daily trying to make it happen.
