I just found out that there's going to be a Creating Keepsakes University in Nashville (very close to me) I've always heard about CKU but don't know any specifics about it. Who has gone to one and what is it all about? Remember, all I know about it is what's on their website, which isn't a lot. For $345 :faint: it's gotta be good! Or is it?

I am also planning on Nashville...though it will be about the hardest ever to get into. People everywhere want to go...let's hope there isn't a blizzard that weekend!

For $345 you get 10 classes...by some of the "famous" people. If you read the reviews from Vancouver that are on Two Peas now, you will see you are better off taking classes from the lesser knowns. I definitely preferred those at Disney.

You get lots and lots of products from the different manaufacturers. They want those things in your hands so you can buy more, and tell others about them. You probably received that much in product.

It is a great time. As for classes, my local store does classes that are just as good, but I am fortunate. It is great if you can go, but your life will be fine if you don't (some people think it won't).

Hope that helps!

Patti

Now I can see spending that to go to the Disney CKU!!! So are the classes with the "big shots" jam packed? (Like Becky Higgins?) Just curious - why will Nashville be the hardest to get into and why do so many people want to go?
Thanks for the info!

For starters....it is really centrally located. Indy sold out the fastest last year, and alot of those people plan on going.

Alot of the Disney people were from TN...and alot of them are going.

Mostly....I think it is because the first one of the year. We shall see. I am not looking forward to registration.

Good luck!

Is CKU JUST for classes, or is there shopping to be done?? Do you HAVE to be registered or can you just show up - if you don't want to take classes?

$345.00 for all the classes you take but you end up getting that much in goodies from them?

If this is the case I am definately in.

I really want to go to this but, I'm waiting to talk with hubby about till after the new year and that will still give me plenty of time to work on him till April.

SO, tell us more about CKU those that have been before like walk us through how a weekend goes

I went to CKU New England last year. Nothing I have ever been to can compare to it! I am sure that another CKU will not live up to it(but it won't stop me from attending). It is expensive, but I would have paid 10 times that amount, the people I met, the friendships I made, the entire experience of it all. I was part of a dorm that was formed via the internet, only a few (4) women had ever met before hand! We spent three and a half days together and had way too much fun...all different ages shapes sizes colors religions and we got along. The classes were the best I have ever taken! If you have the opportunity, go, do not be shy join in all the activities and absorb! It is not a crop....I did not crop at all and I do not recommend that you take anything other than what is required for classes(you won't have time) Interact, network and learn!
Jumping down off my soapbox now!

I'm hoping they will eventually end up at Walt Disney World again.

Well, I took my first step today. I booked a room for CKU-Nashville. Now to see if I can get registered. It looks like that's going to be the hard part.
