I was finally able to get with my CKC friend to compare classes. Looks like she and I are in a class together, then a different class, then in a class together... Should be fun to talk about the different things we do...

I live fairly close and I am just driving down for Friday. I am perfectly willing to supply lunch for a bunch of us that day! How does sandwich fixings, crunchy snacks, fruit salad and brownies sound?
My lunch break is anytime between 10:50 - 1:50. Do you all have a block of time for lunch during that time?
Post here or pm me if you're in. If someone is going Thursday maybe they can scope out a good place for us to meet and eat.

I'm going through the supply lists this week. It doesn't look like we will have Lisa Bearnson this year I've been checking QVC, and didn't see her scheduled...usually she is there Wednesday and then comes to CKC on Thursday. I loved her class last year... bummed...

My DMom and I are going together from Thursday until Saturday. We can't wait. We booked our room a long time ago and are staying in the Scanticon. It will be so much fun!

Think appealing to him about how you would love some "Me" time not "Mom" time would work? When my kids were little, my DH would go on hunting or fishing trips, and I had to find care if I was working, but I usually just took vacation...so my 1 sewing convention a year wasn't even an issue. I just told him when it was, and he took vacation...

One of the perks of having older kids is that it isn't an issue anymore I get "Me" time whenever I want these days

my me time is scrapping at Lisa's. Plus I don't know his work schedule for that week. Next week he's in Omaha but I don't know what happens after that.
They did still have a few classes left that I would like to take. I'll talk to him tonight, maybe he will come with me! He can visit friends and go to Valley Forge with the boys.

The company is Lickety Split Scrapbooks. I didn't see a Chip & Dale book on the site, but that doesn't mean that it won't be at the show... I saw the Disney book, and a Princess book...really cute, I might have to get it at the show for me, as I am a princess (in my own little world )

Our worlds must be very similar, as I am a princess in mine, too!

I'm going to the vendor faire on Saturday (darn new job keeping me from signing up for anything else). I've never been to one of these so what is your best advice for getting through there well - what sorts of things do they show? Will there be good stuff left when it opens Saturday morning (I"m planning to be there half an hour or so earlier than it starts - I'm an hour away). I don't have a lime green mickey but may have to find or make one to find my fellow scrappers/swappers!
