CKC Manchester 2011

I saw that dates for CKC Manchester 2011 are posted- April 29-30.

Anyone planning on going? I went in '09 and loved it, but decided every-other-year would be OK. Aslo wondering how 2010's CKC there may have varied form the previous year. Anything I should know, if I'm expecting what I experienced in 2009.

I didn't take any Disney classes. Took a CK sponsored class ("What Matters Most" I think?) that I didn't care for. I took "Basic Grey's 2009 Latest and Greatest" which I liked (I love Basic Grey), but since I only do double-page layouts, the cost to get the compansion right-side page kit made it expensive. Took 2 other classes, I blank on which ones right now. They were OK. Mainly, I loved shopping.

I like Ali Edwards but didn't take the Technique Tuesday class inspired by her stuff. thinking maybe i will next time.

Any commenst or thoughst about CKC Manchester past or future welcome here...

I did CKC (as did a bunch of us) last year. hopefully you can do a search and find the thread for the 2010 ckc manchester if not maybe someone can link it for me cause I'm so techie challenege.

I reviewed my classes in that thread.

My mom and I will be there for sure I'm going to make the reservations shortly
last year we arrived thurs pm got right into our room had classes on fri and a couple on sat.
I packed a cooler to snack on (don't need to pack quite so much next year) and mom couldn't believe how smart that was.

I'm waiting for the classes for next year to be released.

I attended this year for the first time and enjoyed it. I didn't LOVE the classes I took, so I will be looking at others next year, but the evening crops were great and I got a decent amount done. What was the greatest was meeting other Dis scrappers (Hi Christy!!)!! We had a SUPER time and I would attend in 2011 just for that!! I am hoping to have the $ to afford to stay overnight, even though I live within driving distance... it would make it more fun! .......P

Pam is right attending just to meet up is soooo much fun. Sat there are more Dissers cause of the day trippers.

I'm hoping that we can manage to get rooms all together this year. Last year PBF and myself were right across the hall from each other. LindaBabe ended up at least a floor up. Would love it if we could all get a block together.

I have been to 3 CKC Manchesters and 1 CKC Hartford. I took a few classes at Hartford and my first Manchester. After that I think I was "classed out".

The last two years I have going to Manchester and met up with other members on the board along with traveling with some disers who live close by. We just go for the shopping. Now have I used any of the stuff I have bought, NO, but that is not the point. It is about going with friends and peeps, and enjoying our time away from the family for a few hours.
And we do already plan on going next year for more shopping.

I'm so glad so many DISers may be there. I spotted a group at the cafe in '09because of the mafia T-shirts they were wearing. Hello to you all if it was you! I'm going with at least 3 friends thus far, but am always happy to meet DISers.

I've been going to CKC Manchester since, I think 2006? It has changed somewhat over the years but I still love it. I can't really comment on 2010's, because I didn't really get the full experience - just a few hours. But I'm looking forward to next year! Thanks for the dates - I'll mark those down on my calendar!

Where are my peeps - are we reserving a room or two for next year?

I'm in! Need a roomie - I'm thinking Thursday to Sunday. I'll be packing food too - I didn't love that cafe. We MUST plan a group meal at that wonderful Greek restaurant across the street - they have LOTS of space and will be more cooperative than the cafe was.

Classes I loved - Licketysplit Disney class, Button Farm recipe album, and Boxer (a huge giveaway class with no work involved)
