hi all
some friends have decided we should go out with them to city walk. i'm not really all that familiar with it and not sure what to expect.
are there any discussions about this? where do i get info about it?
does it get really crowded on sat nights?

thanks

thanks so much
do you have to buy the tickets in advance or can you buy them there? where do you buy them anyway? can you buy them during the day if you're going to use them that night.
thanks again

You can buy the tickets during the day/evening at guest services.

There are also a couple extra little stands set up throughout citywalk to purchase the tickets at (in the evening), so if you wait until evening..don't wait in the long line downstairs at the main guest services..go to one of the little booths, no lines.

City Walk is a blast..you really don't notice the crowds!

If you like clubbing you will love it. There is also lots of shopping and dining. It's very lively. Especially at night.

I try to go to CW when it's just around 6p (if I'm not in school, mind you) so that parking is free and the restaurants aren't going to be too busy.

When you get the 5 day park passes, they say it includes the Citiwalk Party Pass. I suppose that doesn't include tickets for special events. What does the party pass really give you?

You can get into most things with the party pass. Just go and take your party pass and if you run into a special event that needs a ticket, buy it then on the spot - at least that is what I'd do. (I've been to City Walk during the off season and was never asked for any pass at all at a couple of the places).

More info www.citywalk.com and www.orlandotripplanner.com

City Jazz now has comedy on Thur., Fri., and Sat. nights (stand ups) Included in the Party Pass.

How late are the stores open at CityWalk? I've never been before but was thinking of trying it out the night before we check into our Disney resort. ;)

Probably won't want to have a super-late night-- I was thinking just looking around and dinner somewhere.

Stores are open fairly late. I think most close around 10 or 11p. Maybe later.

I have a dumb question. I have been to Citiwalk (about 4 years ago) and I don't remember there being a charge to get into the area. But this "party pass" seems to suggest that you have to pay to get in. What exactly is it? I am pricing out a package and it includes this item. Universal's site is odd and I am not able to adjust this line item or even find out of there is a value to it in the package (stupid spinning curser thing = annoying).

We are a family group with two pre-teens so if this gets us into clubs, it's not worth our money. We do want to wander around Citiwalk and eat and shop but I doubt there is a cost for that? Thanks!

I just always assumed the party pass was like a pass for club cover charges. We get a CityWalk pass every year we have gone & we've never had to show it anywhere, but we have young kids, so we don't do the clubs, bars, or late night at CityWalk.
Sorry, I guess I'm no help, HAHA!

The party passes are the cover charge for the nightclubs. That is something that is included with the Universal Parks and Resorts Vacation packages. You do not pay extra for it. They just include it free of charge with every package.

No cost to dine and shop and just wander around.

Citywalk is simply the shopping/dining/entertainment area outside the Universal parks,if you go to the parks you have to pass through Citywalk, the passes are only for the clubs at night, sometimes they also offer a movie and a meal pass but basically most everything is just open to anyone.
