city walk reservations

I am going to Universal in May and would like to know if we have to make reservations before we leave home for the restaurants at City Walk.

Any info would be great.

Only if you are going to Emeril's. If you want reservations for other restaurants, you'll be fine making them once you get there.

If you are staying on-site, you can use your room key for priority seating. Show your key card and you get your name put at the head of the list if there's a waiting line. The only night we needed to do this was Saturday. Every other night, we just walked right up and got seated immediately. We usually ate between 5:30 and 6:30 p.m. I noticed that things started to get crowded around 6:30 at the City Walk restaurants, especially Margaritaville.
