city walk dinning... do i need to make advanced reservations like at disney world?

If yes, when should I make them and how do i make them?
Most of the time they aren't needed but it depends on when you're going. If it's busy season or there's some event going on in the parks, CityWalk is very busy. You can use opentable.com to reserve some restaurants but most of the time you are able to walk up w/o too much of a wait.

We were there last 4th of July and the longest wait we had all week was 40 minutes.

if you have a large group 8+, yes make a ressie for city walk.

groups of 2-4 won't have long waits.
i wouldn't bother to make a ressie for a small group.

turnovers are pretty quick at most of the places in cw.

As the previous posters have said I don't think you would need a ressie unless it's a holiday or you have a very large group.

Also if you are staying onsite be sure to show your room key, you get priority seating.

Are you staying on-property or off? If you're staying on-property, you'll get priority seating at most Citywalk restaurants (excluding Emeril's and Bubba Gump) by showing your roomkey.

Both Emeril's at Citywalk and Emeril's Tchoup Chop at RPR usually require a reservation for dinner. So if either one is in your itinerary, I would make a reservation for it.

In the past, I haven't made reservations (except for the two Emeril's restaurants and HRH's Palm Restaurant) , but Opentable.com is so easy to use that I may use it for reservations on our upcoming October trip.

We will be a party of 10 most likely mid September , how soon should I make ressies, Bubba Gumps is a definate???????

mid september is not a crowded time period.

to be on the safe side, call in august and make the ressie.

i don't remember how many days out you can make them.

check and see if www.opentable.com has BG in their system for ressies.
if they don't, call the restaurant direct.
