We just came back and celebrated my husband's birthday with close friends at Citrico's.......I always try to review a restaurant if I think it is spectacular and this restaurant certainly fits the bill......

The service is impeccable, food was so good, what else can I say. We ask for Gwen as she is so knowledgeable with wines and the menu, I am sure they all are, but we have formed a bond with her and it is so nice when she welcomes us back..

Thanks to the Chef, who we met this last time, what a great guy, and of course, Sous Chef Anthony, their staff and Gwen for making my husband's birthday truly special. Eating at Citrico's is like dining with a big Italian family...incredible.

Sounds great! thanks for the review! I will be sure to fit this into our schedule for our new year trip!

Citrico's is one of my favorites as well. We ate there on our trip last week and it was as wonderful as you say - food, service, decor, everything.

One new thing to note for those who go there with kids - the kids drinks were served with Mickey Mouse straws, which we planned to take with us when we left. As we were getting ready to leave, our waitress showed up at the table with a bag of 6 Mickey Mouse straws for each of my daughters. This was certainly a nice "bonus" ending to a fabulous meal experience.

Madalex......see what I mean. They go the extra mile to make you feel welcome, well fed, and just content.

I always like to share as I want others to know how incredible this restaurant is and how hard they work to keep these standards.

We love Gwen as well--she's really wonderful!

I also agree, Citricos is the best at WDW. I can't wait to go back. We've always had fantastic meals there.

Thanks for the review. It sounds like you husband had a wonderful birthday dinner. We are going to put citrico's on our list for our upcoming trip to the world. :)

Do you think we could go there with a 19-month baby with a healthy appetite and a love for good food, but quite messy at the table (he wants to eat by himself, and the surroundings show it...)?

We read really good things about this place, and we'd like to try it, but we don't want to disturb the other customers and the staff!

Thanks!

citricos is one of the most underrated resturants in disney IMO. It's usually overshadowed by the likes of california grill.

What a coincidence--Citrico's is our "first nite" dinner this May.
What did you guys have that you might recommend?? Been a couple of years since our last visit.

i would like to know what you had too. i was thinking of putting this on our adr list. thanks so much for letting us know how wonderful it is. :wave2:

It's really not an appropriate place for your child IMHO. It's one of the finer restaurants on property, not quite V&A's but by far the most upscale after V&A's. While well behaved children are welcomed, a messy or fussy child would be noticed and probably not well appreciated.

You might want to consider the Kona Cafe at the Polynesian. It's more family oriented, excellent food, and a more casual atmosphere.

Thanks for the great review. Never hear much about Citricos. Am adding it to our "To Try" list.

Yes, Citrico's is also our favorite.

Glad to see Anthony is still there. I had heard that he may be moving on (somewhere else on property).

Saw your other post about Jiko. The only times we ate at Jiko and felt "WOW" was during a special event (Wayama, F&W Signature dinners) But Citrico's dinners are always "WOW" (even moreso during the F&W Signature dinner)

Thanks for the report back!! This is our 1st night dinner on Easter Sunday :cloud9: We have not been to Citrico's yet, but have heard wonderful things about it.

What are good recommendations for Citricos ? I looked at the menu and it certainly looks good - more choice than Jiko I felt.

I had the best steak I have ever had. It literally melted in your mouth. I reccommend this restaurant to anyone who loves a great meal!!

If Mackey Mouse says this restaurant is great, I'm trying it next time.
