Ugh
I just got a Upromise credit card and called to ask a question about my account and they were sooo agressive. Trying to give me some kind of interest free loan -even though I kept telling her I didn't want it that I wanted to use the card so I could get my Upromise points.(we don't carry a balance)
Also when I tried to activate the card they tried to sell me a balance transfer (don't have any) and a credit monitor program.
Yuck -I hate this kind of thing.

I don't like it either. We paid off all of our credit cards a few years ago. We decided to keep the Disney Visa for the points. Every company I called to cancel the other ones tried to convince me to stay with them instead. Most just asked once, but this one particular one, can't remember what bank, was particularly pushy.

May I ask why you want to close this account?

Well, the account is paid off, and we will no longer be using the card.

Yes, we will still have a credit card. We've just paid off all of our credit cards, and I just don't need this particular one any longer.
