Saw La Nouba when it first opened and it was about 2 1/2 to 3 hours long with an intermission - saw it again this past week and it was cut down to 1 1/2 hours!

Can't figure out what was cut though...
Still had:
BMX Bike guys (only part I didn't like either time)
the hunky guy who "flies" on the red scarves
the little asian girls with the diablos
the guy who stacks chair to "fix" the burned out light bulb
trapeze and tightwire act
the trampoline act (my favorite!)
I know there were a few other acts, but don't remember them right now -

Anyway - anybody out there know what the heck was cut?

we saw it a few weeks ago and it wasn't even an hour long...dh and I both looked at each other in shock when it over and said, is this it? it must be intermission, but it was done, and we both looked at our watches, and it was at the 49 min mark. Actually it was at the 1 hour mark if you included the 10 min intro of the 'clowns'. We had everything you listed, but it must have been shortend sequenes of each. We were very disappointed as Mystere in Vegas was over 2 hours for the same price.

There's the "German Wheels" act (the twins inside the two steel hoops), "Aerial Cradle", plus the additional clown act in the middle of the show (where they pretend to be on the moon). The show was 90 minutes (without intermission) when we saw it in 2000 and 2001.

katrina1122, I honestly think you may have gotten the hour hand on your watch wrong. Here's a test... Did you see the same acts as TravelinGal did? If so, it would be near immpossible to run through all of those acts in well under and hour. That would only allow an average of just 4.9 minutes per act... and that would have to include the transition times between acts (it takes a couple minutes alone for the trapeze set up to descend from the ceiling).

Thanks for posting this. It is very valuable information concerning an extremely expensive show. When we have seen these shows in the past, they were no where near this short. Threehearts

we were there Jan 14 and the 9 pm show was 90 mins plus the clowns before hand who I am pretty sure started maybe 10 mins before the show or so. wondering if maybe someone got sick or equipment failed or something for the show to be cut short when katrina went.
the time flew by but it was after 10:30 when we got out of the theatre.
