Cirque in January

I'm thinking about surprising my family with tickets to Cirque for our trip Jan. 2-9. Do I need to book them ahead of time, or could we just buy them there? (I know it's possible to buy them there, I'm just wondering if I need to worry about them selling out.)

my family & i just bought tix for the jan 7th show. there weren't too many seating options left. i would call soon & buy them.
