Hi all,

We will be going back to Orlando in June and I would like to go to the Cirque show. I'm undecided if I should spend the extra $$ on Cat 1 seating or can you get a good view from anywhere in the venue?? We could save anywhere from $60-$120 for our 4 tickets depending on the category we pick.

Thanks for any feedback you can offer. I'm thinking that the savings would buy a nice dinner the night of the show, but if the seats are lousy, I'd rather just pay for the better view.

Thanks!

Helene

when Cirque's traveling show was here in CT, a member of their setup crew said there wasn't a bad seat in the house and that the roadies regularly sat in the cheap seats with a great view. I'm also debating which seat type but will definitely not do Cat 1. This trip is getting expensive enough!!

both times we sat on the side first and then third row. They were a little bit cheaper catagory in price (sorry, I can't remember exact). It was a great compromise for fantastic seats at a great price.

The first time we went, we were in the back all the way on the right side. The seats were ok, we had a little bit of blockage but we still enjoyed the show. However, when we went back last year, we chose category 1 and had great seats. I think the money was worth it.

If I'm understanding correctly, at both shows you were seated on the side of the venue & the view was good? Some of the Cat 2 seats I was considering are on the side and I was wondering @ the view from that angle.

That might be a good compromise for us as well.

Has anyone been in Cat 3? Feedback??

Thanks again,

Helene

Just saw your feedback, sound like your original seats were a 3. I guess we'll go with a 2 at least.

BTW, I would want to "squeeze those cheeks". Your daughter is adorable!!

If your a cirque fan..(like myself)...get Cat 1 seats.. If your new to it all.. Category 2s are fine, just try to be close to cat 1 seating.. and try and stay "center" as possible. You will enjoy the show either way! Send my love to the show!!!!!!!!!

I would not get Cat. 1 seats unless they are in the center just behind the aisle that runs side-to-side across the theater. There is an opening promenade and you will need to turn around to see it if you are in front of that aisle. Also, there are a number of acts that are up high and you will have to tilt your head back more if you are in the low seats in front of that aisle. Cat. 2 seats are just fine, especially if you can get in the sections that are not on the very outside. We had Cat. 1 seats once and have always purchased Cat. 2 since then. If you get tickets through Ticketmania (a slight discount), they will be Cat. 2 vouchers.

Hi Helene,

Last June we did Cirque and bought Cat 2 tickets. The seats were fantastic! I wouldn't spend the extra$$ for Cat 1's if good Cat 2's are available.... we were in Section 102 Row G (which I believe was the last row in the bottom tier) we had the first 6 seats.

They were fabulous I was pleasently surprised.

Good Luck,

Thanks for all the replies. I went ahead and bought the Cat 2's. Looks like we'll be in the first row of the second tier to the left of the stage. Based on your feeedback, it sounds as if the Cat 2's will be good.

Thanks again!!

Helene
