We will be at Disney October 6th - 14th and are doing Cirque du Soleil for the first time. We have tickets for the 6 p.m. show. Any suggestions on time to arrive, dinner, etc.? Also, the ages of the kids are 3 years and 6 years -- is there anything scary I need to prepare them for? I appreciate any assistance! Thanks!:earsgirl:

We went last September. It's a wonderful show and there wasn't anything that I remember as scary at all. We arrived a good 30 minutes before the start of the show because there is a preshow going on. Next time we will make sure the kids are well rested. As great as the show was both of our slept through the second half -- the other was only 7 months old. We thought the second half was better than the first. We enjoyed it alot!! Have fun.

Would love to hear other parents stories. Thinking about bring my 4 y.o. and 2 y.o.

We did it last year with our 3yo son. He LOVED it. It's so amazing, my son didn't move out of that chair, he wanted to go back next day. The music is soothing, seat back and relax.

This is an amazing show and your kids will probably love it. There ARE parts that can be scary, though, to a little one. Some of the characters are supposed to represent darker images, and my DD (who was 3 1/2) picked up on that. In particular, there were dancers in long red cloaks, who I think were supposed to represent some dark force or other (the story is, to say the least, vague). DD was terrified of them. She loved the clowns, the acrobats, etc., but I had to take her out of the theatre any time they showed up.

So, I would suggest preparing your kids for the fact that some of the characters might be scary.

We just went to Cirque with four children (ages 2, 3 and two 8 yr. olds). They all loved the show. The little ones did not move - they were mesmerized. At the very start of the show the stage is dark, the music is loud & the opening is a bit scary. Our kids were all fine. We went to Disney on the Sunday before the WTC tragedy & this show was truly the highlight of our trip. ENJOY!!! Your kids will be fine if you are with them.

Also, you can buy candy & snacks before the show starts.

Thanks to everyone who's responded so far...we can't wait to go!!!! It won't be long now!!!!
