For anyone who has seen both how do they compare?

I absolutely loved the music of "O." If you've seen "O" did you like La Nouba equally as well? Or were you disappointed with it?

I saw La Nouba first so I wasnt disappointed by it, but la Nouba cant compete-O is amazing!

Living in Las Vegas, I have seen each show in town a couple of times each and the one at WDW I've seen several times as well and each show is so different from the other and "O" is even more different that to me it would be hard to compare them to any of the other shows. I try not to compare one show with another because each show offers special acts that is unique to that show.

I have La Nouba on DVD as well as several other Cirque shows and I really enjoy every one of them for different reasons. I guess the answer to your question is no, I've never been disappointed in any of the shows.

I liked O the best out of all the Cirque shows we have seen, but we are going to La Nouba for the 4th time tonight so we do like that one as well:) Here is how I rank the ones we have seen:

O
Varekai
Quidam
La Nouba
Alegria
and
Mystere (my favorite music though)

Esrade: "O" is the Cirque Du Soleil show that is done on/in water. It is at the Bellagio hotel in Las Vegas.

As for the original question. I agree that these can not be compared. O is totally in a league of it's own when it comes to Cirque performances. I personally have never been disappointed with any Cirque performance that I have seen (I have seen all of them except Saltimbanco and Corteo). To compare O to La Nouba would be like comparing apples and oranges, they are completely different but both are still good. La Nouba is very good on a different level.

I saw La Nouba in 1999 and 0 in 2000 and thought that La Nouba was much better. I'm not sure if it's because O didn't shock and surprise me like seeing Cirque for the first time did, or if I just liked the acrobatics better. Don't get me wrong, O was very fun...but after a while I was kinda bored.

I really love the way La Nouba had so many different acts. But in all honesty, it's hard to not like any Cirque show. They are so amazing.

My favorite show so far was Drallion but I haven't seen O yet either, I wasn't overly impressed with La Nouba and neither were my kids, they are usually able to sit for Cirque shows but they kept asking when it was going to be over this time.

La Nouba was the first CdS show I ever saw, so it was jaw-dropping, wide-eye amazing. Since that time, I've seen O, Mystere, Varekai, La Nouba (again), Drallion, Zumanity, and Ka.

O is "bigger" than La Nouba, but I think that the variety of acts in La Nouba puts it at the top of my list. All of the shows are incredible and worth the cost of admission and travel.

Comparing O to any other show is like apples and oranges. Likewise you cannot compare KA. They are just so different, and each one has had something really special about it. Here's my opinion

Alegria - maybe because it was the first I saw, and the only one I've seen twice
La Nouba
O
Mystere
Dralion
KA

Going back for more La Nouba in December, and dying to see Varekai. Anybody else trying to get to Tampa?

Wow, you were bored at "O" ???? :earseek: I was mesmerized!

So far I have seen La Nouba and Saltimbanco (twice). I'm really looking forward to seeing O and have my tickets booked for 3rd November :cheer2:

For some reason I always thought La Nouba would have a wider appeal to children than "O," although I liked both of them.

My current favorite, however is "KA" which I thought was absolutely awesome.

I have been to almost all of the Cirque shows. Each one is completely different and really can't be compared to any of the others. I can't really pick any one as my favorite. That being said I disliked LaNouba and would never pay to go see it again. I could tell that it was geared more towards a younger crowd (not saying there was anything wrong with that). To me LaNouba seemed like it was "trying" to be a Cirque show but just couldn't quite make it.

My DS 8yo has seen 4 Cirque shows and his favorite is "O" He loves th clowns AYAYAYA !!

My favorite music out of all of the Cirque shows would be "O" by far though !

SOOOOO excited! Just bought Varekai tickets! Had to delay Disney arrival half a day, but decided it was worth it! (Going to disney next month as well)

Verakai is an excellent show - you will really enjoy yourself !

LaNouba is a FAVORITE --- even over "O"! Maybe because I saw it first, but I loved LaNouba. I was amazed by it. But all Cirques are amazing.

"O" is so different than La N, I think its hard to compare , with the water "O" is almost theraputic..werr La N is so exciting....but KA has them both beat in my opinion.
