Cirque du Soleil at discount....anyone know of any?

They do have Category 3 seats available which are less expensive. They do not show up on the main page of their website - click "Book Online" and you will see Category 3 prices. We had these last March and loved the show.... even though you are not in the center the seats are great. The earlier you book the better the seats - we had Section 201-row AA. We will definitely go back and use Category 3 again... you'll love the show!

OK, take a deep cleansing breath.......

We used our AP at La Nouba and got a 25% discount, but it was only for certain times of the year. We went in Sept. I don't think it is an 'all the time' type of discount.

AP holders can get 25% off regular price Category 2 admission on performances from June 1-Sept 30, 2004. Blackout dates 6/20 to 7/5 and 8/22 to 8/25.

Tickets are available for 2 people per passholder and can be purchased 14 days in advance.

Thanks for the clarification. We went in May and had Category 1 seats (great seats, by the way). But at least now I'll know for next time!!

I bought them off of ticketmania.

They discount their prices even a little more with a mousesaver and ticketmania newsletter subscriptions.

I signed up for the mousesaver.com newsletter and then the ticketmania.com newsletter, then I emailed ticketmania and explained that I signed up for the newsletters, but the mousesavers doesn't some out for a while and I wanted to buy the tickets now. They sent me a very nice email with the link to the discounted mousesavers prices.

I thought that was great, I mean it wasn't like I wasn't a newsletter subscriber or anything, I just missed the mailing.

My problem with using the AP was that the AP holder (me) had to be one of the people attending the show. I bought the tickets for my mom and son to go (as a BIG surprise for my mom). My DH, DS #2 and I didn't care to go for the $$.

Current deal (thru 8/21) allows you to get a half price child's ticket w/ purchase of Adult Cat 2 ticket - if you're staying on-site. Since you're going in October that obviously won't work (sorry). But you might see another discount in late Augusut/early September - after this one expires. Also recall reading somewhere that the theater's dark the week of Aug. 22... I found the half price deal on Mousesavers...
