has anyone else heard that cirque in dtd will be closed in Nov?? Just got off the phone with ms, tried to inquire about getting tickets for week of 11/23, and I was told that they will be closing down, and a new show will be starting in Dec., I am a little dissapointed, dh and I saw cirque this past weekend in nyc, and we wanted to take the kids in Nov for the first time.

my Ds is a big cirque fan and frequents their message boards and says there is no talk of this. Did you check online to get tickets? I know that you can't get them before 6 months.

thanks, no I didn't check on-line, something is wrong with my internet connections right now. I only checked with m.s. and the woman told me that she cannot find tickets for this date, and she "thinks" that they are starting a new show come december, and that they will probably be closed during Nov.. I hope not!!

I had tried online and the date only goes to October 19th. I am assuming they add abunch of dates at a time. But it is 6 months out you can book so for November 23rd you are at least into May 27th or so.

Cirque Du Soleil has a contract for La Nouba to be at Downtown Disney through 2010. Tickets for November are just not on sale yet. The week of November 23 they do have an extra day off for the artists. The normal days off are Sunday and Monday, but they are also taking Tuesday November 21 off, that might be what the problem was. The MS agent might have just seen that there would be no show that night and got confused. Also, there are no major changes being made to the show at this time.

Thanks for sharing.... that would be very good news as far as I am concerned, however she specifically stated to me that there would be a new cirque come December, something about "new sun", or something, but that wouldn't make sense because "soleil" is the sun, maybe she just didn't know what she was taliking about?

I hope and pray that it will be running in some fashion for my December trip. We were going to do the show on the evening of our 10th wedding anniversary. I also have been watching for the dates to be posted for that time. I figured that it was too early in the year for the dates to be announced. I dearly hope this is just someone who was misinformed. If they change the show, I guess that will be ok, but I hope it is not closed for our trip. We saw it back in 2002 and it was wonderful. I am very much looking forward to going back to the show.

We just purchased our tickets for the Christmas party and the Cirque show was next on the list.

LOL... They are changing the logo. There will be a different sun on the merchandise. Sounds like she just has her info confused.
