Just returned from a vacation in Las Vegas with my extended family (12 of us). We saw the Cirque show "O", it was amazing... so now I get it!

Before I never understood why people would pay the big bucks to see La Nuba while they were already at WDW, where there were so many things to see and do in the parks. Now we can't wait to see La Nuba next time we go!

Anyone who has seen it have any advice on seating preferences? How much do tickets run for it? How far in advance can they be purchased?

Thanks.

You will find the answers to your questions here Cirque Prices, seating chart and all. There is even a short video clip you can watch.

Have fun!

Myst

P.S. There are often discounts for La Nouba for AP holders etc. Watch for those as well. Mousesavers.com lists the available discounts.

We're going to see Cirque "Alegria" in Philadelphia tomorrow. This will be our first Cirque experience (other than on TV and the IMAX film). I'm really looking forward to it. Best part is my boss bought the tickets for everyone.

We've seen "Mystere" in Vegas and TV does not do those shows justice. DH and I are planning on LaNouba in October.

Enjoy! :teeth:

I couldn't agree more with vicb......

I've been to Las Vegas and have seen Mystere twice (and I've always wanted to see O) - despite loving these shows, I too had the same opinion.....why would I pay to see the show at WDW when there are so many other things to do??

My mother and I did a girls trip to WDW last fall and she wanted to see La Nouba (she's seen both Mystere and O in Las Vegas too) so I got us tickets......AND, had a wonderful time!!! The theater is small so there really aren't any bad seats.

I've seen -O- twice, Mystere once, La Nouba twice, would love to see all of them again.

I think the best seating for any of the shows is in the second tier, lower seats, A lot of action goes on in the walkway seperating the levels, easier to look down than turn around to look back. Also, with a lot of the action up high, easier to see than from down low and bending neck to look up. Somethingto be said about being down low and closer, but I still think second level, low is better. Only seat that are marginal are the ones at the far sides, and those are now in price level 3 or C, whatever it is. Cirque rocks. I love the music too, have all the CD's. Weird music, like the shows, but captivating, like the shows.

I just wanted to follow-up on my previous post. We saw "Alegria" on Sunday. The show was very good but not nearly as good as I had expected. I found the action to be rather slow moving. The show had no underlying theme or story - just a series of unrelated acts. The interludes with the clowns were quite boring and really detracted from enjoying the show. The one thing that I most associate with Cirque is the phenomenal balancing acts. There was only one balancer performing by himself. There were no acts with 2 or more performers balancing together - that is what I was really looking forward to. On the good side, the trapeze and trampoline work was absolutely incredible and really made the show worth seeing.

This was our first time seeing Cirque in person and I enjoyed it but was somewhat disappointed. We'll probably see them again sometime in the future but I won't be in any hurry to shell out that kind of money for tickets.

disneysteve, was this a traveling Cirque show? My parents mentioned that they have seen a traveling show that wasn't nearly as good as the stationary ones they saw in LV (O and Mystere). Just wondering if that is the source of disappointment?

We're going to La Nouba on 11/13. I think we're in Section 204, Row A.

Yes, "Alegria" is a traveling show. We went with a group of over 20 people. Several people who have seen permanent Cirque shows agreed that this show wasn't that good. I would still like to see one of the Vegas shows or La Nouba at Disney. I just felt that this show didnt live up to the reputation of Cirque. It was cheaper ($49 for back section) than the permanent shows, but still an expensive proposition for a family outing.
