Hi all

I'm trying to decide to do Cirque or not, I've been once before (Cat 1) but SO hasn't. I was looking at the AP discounted seats as described on Deb's site:

25% Discount on Cirque du Soleil - Celebrate 5 amazing years of Cirque du Soleil La Nouba and save 25%. Save 25% off the regular price of category 2 admission (select seats only) on performances June 1 through September 30, 2004 (excluding 6/20 - 7/5 and 8/22 - 8/25)

Anyway - has anyone bought these w/ this discount? I'm just a bit worried about the *select seats only* clause in there. Wondering how the seats have been.

Thanks!

"Select seats only" simply means that you can't choose your seats when you get the special rate. Cirque will give you whichever seats have not yet sold or been specifically requested. Kind of like special fare seats on an airline.

From my experience -- and I've seen the show a dozen times -- there is not a bad seat in the house. I personally prefer some areas more than others, but I've never been disappointed with my seat assignment. I've gone to shows on FL resident discounts, half-price specials, house seats, regular old admission, buying at the last minute, etc. Never had a bad seat.

Thanks for the info...this probably wouldn't work for us then. I have this weird "have to sit in the aisle seat" issue. ;)

Thanks again!

WDSearcher, you said that you like some seats better than others. Which seats do you think are the best? We have never been and plan to go in Sept.

I've just purchased tickets for my parents for the 45 th wedding anniversary. We have AP's but since we won't be there, we had to purchase with the Fl discount (20%). The CM helping me offered certain seats (you can pull up a seating chart of Cirque du Soleil) which were Cat 2 but on the extreme right & left. I wanted more centrally located seats & so she transferred me to someone else who was able to help & offered 3 other locations, one of which was centrally located (toward the back) & included an aisle seat! Try giving them a call & see how they can help for your particular situation!

My parents will be there this Saturday evening & I'll let you know how they liked their seats!

I had the same thing happen to me. If you call WDW ressies and they can't help you, have them transfer you to someone else. The second person I talked to was so helpful and patient with me. I also requested an aisle seat. We ended up in Sect. 204 Row HH Seats 1&2 and I thought they must have been the best seats in the house. We were able to see everything going on on the stage!

I just purchased tix yesterday, and found the seating map on the cirque site and printed it out to have in front of me when purchasing. Instead of buying online, I called the disney number for tickets. They would NOT let me pick seats, but offered me what came up. That was pretty disturbing. But, the CM DID say that she thought all seats were good as long as they were high enough (mine were), since there's a lot happening off the stage, higher than the stage.

IMHO, dizneycc, you did get some of the best seats in the house ! I think Section 204 is far superior to Sections 102, 103, or 104. You get a much better view of the whole experience and you don't get a huge crick in your neck, to boot ! I just don't think the closer seats give you the best view of all the action.

Tigger 2005 - GO! Best show ! We've seen six Cirques (O, Mystere, La Nouba, Allegria, Dralion, and Varekai) and La Nouba is, hands down, my favorite. We've seen it twice, so we're going to give it a miss on our next trip.

I remember definitely having trouble with the first person at CRO when I made the ressies the last time. As previously stated, they transferred me to someone (? at Cirque) who was great and patient ! when I explained that I was willing to sift through every performance offered during our entire trip until I found just the right aisle seats in just the right section, and then build the whole trip around when we could do Cirque.

hmmm--that's what I asked for, section 204 (the back center or center-right/center left)! And, she most definitely didn't let me pick--she said the computer automatically gave the next set of seats. Wish I knew that before!

I prefer seats in the upper rows as opposed to seats close to the stage. I like being more on the level of the aerial acts instead of having to look up at them. I also like the seats just left of center (which is, interestingly enough, my political position as well ... :p ) because there's a great view of the trampolines from there.

Lots of people like the front rows because you get a lot more of a thrill factor during some of the balancing and juggling stuff, but I like being back more to get a more complete view of the stage.
