The clip art looks great. This is really exciting. I think I have a theme borrowed from Dr Seuss "Oh, the places you will go". My thoughts are that this can be Disney or not, depending on what people want to include. My other idea was something to do w/gardens or flowers, again could be Disney or other. What do you all think?

I have an idea for the cover already, or maybe for the first page LO. :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc

I really like the places you will go theme, sounds really fun. :)

I'm going to have to think on my theme this weekend and I'll let you know. I want a really good one. LOL Once I get moved I'll also run to the store and decide on a size.

How long do we have to come up with a theme? I have a couple of ideas, but am waiting till I can commit the "thinking time" to finalize one. Right now, I need to "think" about a lonnnnngggg letter I need to write!

Yeah I can't think of a theme...I was thinking of a simple one like "Favorite Disney Character" but I think that has been overused and kinda boring? ;P

How about "favorite disney moment in a movie" ??? I personally like that one but I don't know. :P

Edit-

I have 3 ideas so far....

Favorite Character
or
Favorite moment in a Disney movie
or
Favorite Disney Movie

Technically you have up until the day you mail out your book to decide on your theme. There's no immediate rush. The sooner you do decide gives us time to think about what we'll do in it, but no one will be actually working on your book until September, so you have loads of time to think. :goodvibes

Okay, since we had enough people to make a 6 month group, that left us with 18 for the larger group. We think that 18 months is a little too long, too much potential for slipups and a little unwieldy for numbers. So that leaves us with 2 groups of 9.The fairest way to split it up would be to split it right down the middle of how the initial list is on page 1 leaving us with these groups:

6 month CJ:
1. vanyel
2. Caitsmama
3. New England Eeyore
4. Reinita1002
5. UGAFan0829
6. Ohana4

9 month CJ Group 1:
1. New England Eeyore
2. Stitch is Our Hero
3. KAMommy
4. Patchchild
5. Momx3boys
6. Rlovew
7. Ddavis860
8. Bernard and Miss Bianca
9. Princess Nancy96

9 month CJ Group 2:
1. Mickster
2. Caitsmama
3. JennyL
4. YodasMom
5. KatDisney
6. Momof2DisneyKids
7. Ohana4
8. Mickeyteacher
9. Pjpoohbear

Note: This is not necessarily the order we’ll be mailing in though. Once I have all the addresses we’ll try to order people so the journals travel in a path that makes geographical sense and keeps postage costs to a minimum if possible. No sense the journals crisscrossing the country unnecessarily!

Are we cool with doing 9 month CJs? After all, if everyone loves it, at the end of those 9 months we can always do another one, flipping the groups. But waiting for 6 more people would make the number of people involved a little crazy.

I’m going to set up a Yahoo group for the CJs (for now I think we can all be on one group – we can split up later if it gets too confusing.). You’ll be receiving a PM from me with the info of where to go.

Thanks everyone!

New England Eeyore & Caitsmama--thanks for all of your hard work on this! :goodvibes This looks great!! :thumbsup2

Sounds like a great time! I'm going to go to Bath & Body now to get their sale stuff while it's still going on, and I'll be thinking of my theme for my 6 month book! :wizard:

Nancy--the joy of a small town! They close the banks, the post office, the courthouse and almost everything on Wednesday afternoons! :thumbsup2 Only the drive-thru is open (and only for 1/2 day) so I didn't have to work! :cool1: Of course, tomorrow, it's back to it, but not thinking about that now. . .(looking for a smilie with its fingers stuck in its ears!)

KAMommy--I could SO make a trip to Hobby Lobby this weekend! I'm in if you are! ;)

I will edit the clippies to reflect the 9 month time period for the swap. I will do it when I get home tonight.

Pj

hehehe I finally figured out how to do these signatures with the clippies.

Brooke, I so remember those days.... now that I live in a bigger town...everything is open... Heck when the grocery store went 24 hours the mommies around here went crazy.. a shopping night at midnight w/ no kids and dh's could hold down the forts.. lasted about a year and they started closing it again at 11pm.. now all of us mommies are going in withdrawl! :rotfl:

New Eng. Eeyore.. the 9 month CJ looks great! BernardandMissBianca will be fine with it too.. I know she is dealing w/ 3 sick boys and suppose to be out of town with the family starting today... but I'll keep her posted!!! :thumbsup2

Penny, you are awesome to change that clipart!!! :)

Almost forgot, sorry! New Eng. Eeyore and Caitsmama a big... :thanks: for organizing all this!!!

It looks great. I guess I will try to pick up a album to use on my next trip into town. Thanks for your work on this project.

Edited to add: I just picked up a spiral album at a store in town. Now I guess I just need to begin thinking about excatly what I am going to do and then I'll get started after I finish my summer swaps.

Yea! I am so excited about this!! Now, to think of a theme.. I know mine WILL be Disney related!!!! LOL

Also, please if anyone has any questions in my group (Group 2) please please pm me!! I am here for ya!!

Also, for the signature clipart, Do you think we can darken the text so it shows up better?? Thanks for that btw, it's GREAT!!!

Everything sounds great, I'm really exctied about starting this. Thank you both for setting this up!!

I'm pretty sure mine will have a Disney theme too. :teeth: I like favorite character or ride, I will have to think about it.

Nine months sounds fine to me!! Thanks so much for organizing, New England Eeyore and Caitsmama! :thumbsup2

I will PM you my personal info, if I haven't already. My mind is still on another page!

This looks wonderful. I can't wait to get started.

StitchIsOurHero - I am so in for hobby lobby - I need help picking something out for this one.

Thanks, ladies, for getting this rolling for us.

Too bad we couldn't make a group trip to Hobby Lobby this weekend :sad2: Wouldn't that be fun?

Sounds great and thanks for all the work on this. Looking forward to it. I'm going to stick to "Oh, the places you will go" for my theme.

Okay, everyone should have received a PM from me with the Yahoo group website. Let me know if you didn't.

Thanks to all of you who sent me your info - but I'll go completely  if I have to keep track of all that - please enter into the database on the website. :teeth:

Penny - once we have an official clipart I'll add that to the main page.

Thanks everyone. Let me know if I forgot anything or missed anything. I've been sitting at this computer for way too long. :badpc: I'm going to venture outside into the fresh air now. :sunny:
