Circle Journal - any interest?

I'm thinking of hosting a circle journal in the new year. If you don't know how it works (on here anyway) this is my understanding - do correct me if I'm wrong!

1. Each person picks a topic (and size of album)
2. Each person then fills in a title page and sign-in page, with tags for each participant to complete , and their own 2-page spread
3. They then send their book ot the next person on the list.
4. Each person receives a book from the person before and completes a 2-page spread (and the sign-in tag) and so on.

I thought I could open sign-ups this side of Christmas, with a view to the first "pass-on" around the middle of Feb (to allow us to buy lots of lovely goodies in the sales )

most people do 8x8 or smaller. You can choose what ever topic you want.

I would however hope that the other CJ finishes out first, any word from Mar?

I would be interested but would like the other finished too. I would also really like if we had a yahoo gorup for name and address databases and messaging instead of just the boards. I know we didn't have that for the last one but I think it makes it easier to communicate.

No but I could figure it out easily enough.

Any theme you like - can be Disney or not. No idea myself about yahoo groups

I figured out how to start the group- very easy and then once it is started I can add anyone needed as additional moderators (they can do more than regular group members).

This sounds like a really fabulous idea. Two years ago, I participated in a CJ group. It lasted an entire year and was completely Disney themed. We also had a yahoo group so that we could chat about who had which one, who mailed/ received and so forth. It was very fun! So, yeah. I would love to partcipate.

This does sound like fun. I've seen some of the other CJs and they are amazing! Since it would be my first, I'd really like to do a Disney one.

For the sign-in pages you generally are going to create tags, file folders, ect - something that each of us would put a picture of ourselves and some basic details-0 where we live, our disboard name, our real name, and such. You do a 2 page spread about your theme for your own book before mailing.

the purpose of a circle journal is to share more about ourselves with our buddies. We would each have a topic and each of us would do a 2 page spread about ourselves from the point of view of that topic.

Here are some examples:
Disney Favorite: I could share my favorite restaurant, ride, park, and character with journalling about why I like them and pictures of them.

Villian I am Like: I would share which villian I weas most like using journaling, pictures, embellishmetns, whatever

Favorite Disney Recipe: I would share a copy of the recipe and some reasons why I like it- maybe an experience I had while eating it, why I love it, pictures of me eating it at Disney or making it at home.

These examples are all Disney but you could do books, gardens, shows, music, quotes- anything that would help you learn more about us and interest you.

If there are specific items you don't like then in your introduction page you would tell us that- for example you could ask that we don't use flowers on our pages if you don't like them.

Does anyone have some pics to show how they did the title page and sign in pages ? I have never done one of these, but it sound interesting. I would like to see a few examples so I truely understand since this would be a big commitment.
