Hoop De Doo
We had a 5pm table booked at HDD and we arrived 30 mins prior to check-in. The check-in podium is out in the hot sun with no shade, as is the queue for the photo,so we skipped it, and wandered around the shop and had a a sit in the shade in a rocking chair.
The door opened dead on 5pm, and there was a real stampede for the seating so really authentic 'wild west' right from the start

( don't worry folks, there is enough food and seating for everyone, you booked 3 months ahead remember!) Within 3 minutes everyone was seated and sweaty, all hail air-con.
To start with:
cornbread, honey butter and tossed salad. The bread was a little dry and the salad had a bit too much dressing, but it was ok.
the girls had
chocolate milk and i had
chardonnay wine
The coach arrived and the team of 6 started their show, amusing and funny.
for the main meal we had : Ma's Delicious Fried Chicken,Smoked Barbecued Pork Ribs, Mashed Potatoes,Country Style Baked Beans.
The chicken and beans were my favorites. I have read some poor reviews of the beans but I loved them!
after napkin twirling, we had dessert, which was
stawberry shortcake. Each bowl served 2, you are given a small plate each.
Review:
Lighting level: 8/10 good for the setting, the lights were dimmed for the entertainment parts and raised again for munching.
Noise level: 7/10 noisy, but it's all part of the yee-ha atmosphere so go along with it - very noisy at the end due to my kids not wanting to part with their washboard, and getting every last note out of it.
Ambience: 7/10 you can almost hear the stage coaches outside! nice theming.
Service: 6/10 don't have the name of our server. He was fine. All the servers dissappeared at certain points of the show, which was annoying if you wanted something. service was incl with the price of the show.
food quality ; 7/10 nothing special, not bad either. I think it's pretty standard show type food, it's never going to be fine dining and there is plenty of it.
dine again? : no, I think so. We have done it once and that was enough. I think I prefered Spirit of aloha over at the poly, but I think that is because I like the theme and the romance of the polynesian isles.
The total bill for a 4 of us came to $191.96 (£116.33) we used 8 table service credits.
