Cinnamon dough ornaments...

OK, there are several recipes to make the cinnamon dough ornaments. Which is better? I have seen some that use glue and some without? Opinions need please. I have also read somewhere that you can put cinnamon oil into the dough to make them smell even more.

We are going to make alot this year; some for our tree, some in hat shapes for my mothers Red Hat group, and some into angels for the staff at my fathers nursing home.

Which are better to decorate them with...paint or glitter glue???

Would love to see some pics of some that have made some.

I forget what recepe we used when we made them, but we used dimensional fabric paint to decorate them and it looked like piped icing - I thought it was a really nice effect!

That sounds cute!!! We were planning on hot gluing red and pruple maribu on the hats..Red Hat kinda thing. But, we could outline them with the dimensional paint.
What about gluing things on them, do you thing hot glue would work??

I've made them in the past with only 2 ingredients, cinnamona nd applesause. They smelled great and were easy to work with. Years later, they are still intact, but have lost the smell.
