DH and I want to be sure we see the Cinematic Spectacular on this trip, since we missed it in May (and we haven't had the opportunity to see it before).

The Universal website is woefully outdated, and is currently listing dates and times for July and August.

Would I be correct in assuming that it should be featured on non-HHN nights when the park is open until 8 pm?

Got the same doubt as you for superstar parade. Assuming the same unless someone tells me otherwise.

Last year, Cinematic Spectacular was on hiatus during all of HHN. I wouldn't expect it to show any time in October.

For the Superstar Parade, Touringplans.com is showing the parade at 3:00 during this time.

I don't recall it being on at all when we stayed for a week last October (18th onwards)

Cinematic isn't showing on touring plans for our October dates, parade is showing at 5pm on the dates Universal is open later than 5pm. We are there 14th-24th this October.

Thanks, I was sure we hadn't missed it! The superstar parade was on as we watched that one day.

Really?? Well, that totally bites. I should have taken the time to watch it in May!! :headache:

Thanks for the info, though :thumbsup2 . That certainly explains the lack of updates on the Universal website.

I'll be keeping my eyes peel for ya! :thumbsup2

We will hopefully be at both Universal parks 15th, LEGOLAND 16th and Universal again 17th. 14th we don't arrive until late evening after a 9 hour flight.

If we are at the park on the 15th, it probably won't be until after lunch....we have a MNSSHP on th 13th, the HHN with our RIP Tour and Scareactor Dining Experience on the 14th. Two back-to-back very late nights. Since we have a 2nd MNSSHP on the 16th, we left the 15th up for a last-minute decision. If we feel up to the parks again, we'll go.....otherwise, we might just find ourselves a lounge chair by the pool and recharge :beach: .

Any idea if it will be back for December? I assume it will be since USF is open until 8 and IOA is open until 7.

This may help - if you go on the UO site and start the purchase process (you don't actually have to buy anything) for the cinematic spectacular dining package, the first step is to pick a date. When the calendar comes up, there are no dates available in October, but there are in November and December, which at least tells you that it will be showing those nights.

I love the way you think

Below are November and December. Now, fill me in, please! I've never done anything at night at the dark side. Where's the best viewing? When should you arrive? Give me the details!

I'll be thee December 13-16 so we can do either night we're there. I'm not doing the dining package because we're on extreme budget. Is this going to continue past this year?

I notice that for our dates in January, TouringPlans is showing a 7pm show time when the park closes at 6. Does the park ever run the show that late after closing? Or should I assume that's an error in their schedule and the show will be at 6?

TinyD, my favorite place to watch the cine show is at the end where mels is located.
central park section where there are a few benches.
i don't sit at the benches but up at the fence a few feet in front of them.

We're going to be there in December and were wondering if anyone could give us some details about the Cinematic Spectacular Dining? It is offered during our stay and I'd like to find out some more info before I book it.

Is the view good? Is it SRO or is seating available? Regarding the dinner, can we order anything off the menu or is it prix fixe? What is included? Sorry to inundate you all with questions but after searching I can't really find much information.

Thanks in advance! :)

Has anyone done the Cinematic Spectacular Dining and is it worth it? Also, I am looking for a promo code to buy tickets for the Cinematic Spectacular Dining?
