Can anyone tell me how you liked or disliked Cinderella's Royal Table? I made a ressie there for dinner October 1st. But I've heard some people don't like the food. ??

I am interested to hear replies. I think it would be neat to eat "in the castle". But I too haven't heard very good reviews. Wish all my life decisions were this complicated! ;)

I've only done breakfast there, but I wasn't impressed. Way too much money for crummy food and crummier service. It was very rushed.

I've done dinner there several times before the change and loved it - we did dinner there last vacation after the change - we'll never be back again unless they go back to the regular meal. It's a complete waste of money - very expensive to have a VERY limited menu (3 appies, 3 desserts and maybe 6 entrees to choose from) There is NO character interaction, no princesses - just the Fairy Godmother and Suzy and Perla - but again no interaction. They flit around the room VERY quickly, no time for pictures - perform a show and then they're gone.

MANY MANY better meals to be found on WDW property. If you want the experience - then go for it - you may like it especially if you have never been before the change.

I think its all in a personal choice. Yes it is pricey but I thought well worth it from the look on my dd's face when she sat next to cinderella and took a pic. Also getting all the autographs from the other princesses made her day. she felt like a princess and did not want to leave. Even my 8 y/o son thought is was cool, he was given a sword for the dinner. We did the breakfast and I dont think you can mess up breakfast food. We thought it was good. No the princesses dont have time to sit and visit for 10 min at each table but they do come around and take a photo and say hello. For me, this was ok, for dd this was awesome. I would not have changed things or cancelled based on the bad reviews b/c it was truly magical for my kids. The next day they were asking to go back and eat in the castle. sooooo, I guess that it was special to them. Good luck on what ever you decide.

Theere are no Princesses during dinner and no wands or swords given out for dinner.

I wish they only still did just a charchter breakfast there. I ate dinner there non-charchter last fall and it was fun, but I would not pay what they want just to eat with Cinderella and pals.

Thanks for the replies. Technically, the dinner we're going to have there is 'free' since we're going right before the free dining ends, so October 1st for us will still be free dining. So I guess I'll still keep the reservation.

Let me correct myself. We had BREAKFAST ONLY and yes there were princesses and fairy godmother and wands and swords given along with a special time for the kids to close their eyes and make a wish as they wave their wands. I can not tell you about lunch or dinner.

How come there are no princess for dinner??? Are'nt you paying for that? What is the purpose to eat there if you dont get to see the princess? Also my meal included a family photo. So I guess if there is not a princess at dinner then you get screwed for a photo and miss out on what they have at the breakfast. Am I understanding this correctly?? Is the price cheaper for dinner?? Sounds like a rip off to me.

I highly recommend the CRT lunch. The salmon with asparagus and crab risotto is the BEST meal I've had anywhere on the Disney property.

We went with a group of 14 in October 2005 and everyone loved the service, the food, and just the cool ambiance of eating in the castle. They still have the same choices for lunch that they had last year, and the blueberry buckle dessert is awesome!!

I don't think it's worth 2 TS credits, but with the DDE discount, the cost is probably worth paying OOP.

according to the disney web site, allearsnet, and other posters on this board (never been myself), breakfast and lunch have princesses, wands and swords. dinner has no princesses at the actual dinner, but fairy godmother, perla, and suzy (the mice) come out about once an hour to sing a song, and ask those celebrating something to raise their hand. dinner also includes an unframed lithograph. for all three meals, cinderella stands in the lobby taking pictures, so dinner does include the picture package. dinner is the most expensive meal. the song and lithograph at dinner, and the picture package for all three, only started feb 1. that was when the price for all increased, and the castle went from 1 TS to 2 TS on DDP. Also, before this time, dinner was a la carte (meaning someone could just order a dinner and no dessert, or just a soup & salad, etc if they wanted). this change seems to be why many now dislike the castle...

Ditto on the recommendation. I don't know about the salmon but the asparagus was fab and I loved the Major Domo Pie (DS11 had the salmon and liked it). Lunch was a lot of fun and maybe (from looking around the restaurant) we didn't have the best table but we really enjoyed ourselves. We felt like royalty and enjoyed it so much I caved in and made an ADR for our free dining trip. We will be using 2 TS credits, at least for my son and myself, I may pay OOP for my daughter's kids meal.
