I made ADR for the castle (breakfast) in Feb. I wasn't aware that I had to pay in advance, which to me seems a little crazy that they get my money 6 months before I get there...anyways....

I am wondering what the opinions are for breakfast. Is it good food? Is it worth the $$. Am I better off going to Chef Mickeys or Crystal Palace where they don't get my money 6 months in advance?

Thanks!

i will not say it is the most wonderful breakfast onproperty nor is it the worse. i would keep the ADR especially if you have never been. i enjoy the healthier choice breakfast w/the only difference being i request the bananas not to be caramalized.

The food is basic breakfast foods. Nothing extraordinary. Quite filling as they do constantly refill your table with whatever is needed. I don't get the impression that Cinderella's Castle is about the food anyway. It is more the experience. That is why we did it - for the DDs to see the princesses, fairy godmother, etc. and for the ambience.

I don't know anything about Chef Mickey's, we did have lunch at Crystal Palace and there was quite a bit to choose from - I am assuming it would be that way for breakfast as well.

We actually thought breakfast was awesome! Really good food. I loved the cinnamon roll french toast, YUM! We did not go to Chef Mickey's. We had lunch at Crystal Palace and that was the worst meal I had, although, DH and DD thought it was okay. Definately keep the ressie, it is too cool eating in the castle!

My family really enjoyed the breakfast. My husband (big shocker!) wants to do it again next year. :thumbsup2 pixiedust:

I would definitely say that it is something that you want to do at least "once in a lifetime". Like another poster wrote it is not really about the food at all but, about the "experience" !!! princess: Everyone I think wants to be treated like a princess or prince just once in their life ! Enjoy your breakfast with Cinderella ! :lovestruc

I'd say it is definitely something you shoudl do once. it's beautiful in there. :thumbsup2 I'm not a "foodie" by ANY means. I am not adventurous in food eating but what I do like I will be more picky about calling "really good food" and I'd say the food is just okay. Typical breakfast fare with no variety. But they do bring you more of anything you want so if you really like something you can keep eating it. I woulnd't go there for the food alone...though about 5 years back, a man at a table next to us was saying repeatedly "This is goooood eatin' right he-yah. Class stuff here boy." Okkkkkaaaayyyyy. Not my take on it and we went twice (2 seperate trips several years apart) and won't go agaqin unless we have a girl so she can enjoy the princesses. I did like when they used to "Slip you a Mickey", a little Mickey shaped butter. That was cute. :) But they didn't do it last time. Sigh, just plain serving.
But anyway, it's a beautiful place and nice bathrooms! ;)
My 2 cents

I made adr's in feb and yes they asked for credit card upfront. We are going for our honeymoon and first trip to WDW. They said they need a credit card cause of the high demand for seatings. I am not bothered by it as long as it seals our ressies for there. I did not get the very first seating, but one shortly after the first for breakfast that's how fast it was booking and I started calling a couple mins before the phones opened. When I inquired later that afternoon about it as I was making an adjustment to another I asked if by chance they had a first seating just out of curiosity, and I was told it was booked completely up. THANK GOODNESS I got the very next seating the first time. I am most certainly not complaining. :bride: :groom:

What characters are there besides Cindy?

When we went (both times) it was Snow White, Princess Aurora, Mary Poppins & Jasmine
