We went to CRT for lunch in June and loved it! We're going back on 1/17 for another lunch with Cindy and friends. We're returning to WDW in August and am not sure if we should try the breakfast or the dinner. Any suggestions?

We liked the breakfast a lot. The food was pretty good and we got into the park early, so there were some prime photo opportunities. :) I've heard mixed reviews on the dinner.

lunch so no personal reviews. Note that dinner is different in that it is not a character meal. The Fairy Godmother does some sort of show and Suzy and Perla are there. Cinderella, of course, is downstairs.

That may or may not be important to you. We were going to do dinner this past June until the CM mentioned the difference.

We did the breakfast in May and had very low expectations going in. We were so surprised that it was as good as it was. The food was piping hot and delicious. I don't think I've ever had a fresher fruit salad. Our server was all over us and it was magnificent. I say to give breakfast a shot.

We will be having breakfast there in about 34 days and I can't wait. It is just dh and myself but we are big kids all the way. lol

We have done dinner...the experience was great (no princess but still fun)...food was good but not great. Overall it was a bit overpriced but we are doing it again in April. We are bringing some Disney first timers...everybody should eat in the castle at least once.

We've done breakfast and lunch. I much perferred the lunch! I love that place!!

We did the dinner in August and were not very impressed. The food was ok, but for the price I think it should be much better than ok, KWIM? We have never done the nreakfast but from what I hear the interaction with the characters is much better than at dinner>

We did dinner a few years ago and had a TERRIBLE server. We had a big group and were there during Thanksgiving, so I do see how that is a very hectic time there. However, our food wasn't that great and our server was terrible to me. I was a teenager and he apparently felt like he didn't have to treat me like an adult and 1) laughed at me when I ordered the pasta and asked if there was any meat in it b/c i was a vegetarian (Why is that funny?) 2) Brought out my dinner 15 minutes after everyone elses 3) it was the WRONG dinner 4) it was steak!!! and the cherry on top is 5) when I told him I didn't order steak he said "Yes you did" and walked away!!!! My dad was upset and was almost yelling at him saying how you do not question someones beliefs or dietary needs blah blah and after that my pasta finally came out AND it wasn't very good! Just thought I would share that experience, I have read other reviews on here with complaints.

I think I'll try breakfast at CRT in August. We're doing lunch there on 1/17. Dinner doesn't sound as great.

We had dinner at CRT about 2 weeks ago. It was great! The Fairy God Mother, Suzy, and Perla did a little show dancing around the tables. Really cute. We got pictures of the kids with Cinderella in the front lobby of the castle. The pictures (8x10s) were given to us (no additional charge) during our meal. It was actually a folder that had a wonderful picture of the castle and an individual shot of each child (two folders). Everyone was just terrific. I didn't know that there was a serial number that could be scanned in at Photopass so I could get additional pictures. A CM mentioned that to me. Cool! :thumbsup2

I had the prime rib. Excellent. Service was very good too. We had our autograph books out, and the waiter mentioned they don't do autographs because it would interrupt their floor show, but he had something for us. He came right back with really cute autograph cards that were pre-signed with cute pictures of the characters. He didn't have to do that!

I'd do dinner there again in a heartbeat! :)

I thought that place was horrible. The food was bad. The only thing that i liked was the tortellini and cannelloni sauce. We were celebrating my aunt's birthday. The birthbay cake was good, and since i didn't realize we were getting cake for her birthday, i ordered cake for dessert,i which was good, too. Our waiter noticed we were on the DDP, and since there is an automatic 18% tip for parties over 6, he started slacking off!!! he was being slow and the drinks came out late! it was as if he didn't care.

I would do breakfast! I absolutley love it there. I've never ate there for dinner but I've heard its just average. If you do wind up going with breakfast, get a reservation before the park opens so you can get great pictures in the empty park! :)

We're doing breakfast again next trip. The food was good, service was prompt, and the interaction with the princesses was very good. Wendy even sat down with me and we discussed why it takes so long for boys to grow up. :goodvibes She was loads of fun, and when I asked her if she had any of Tinkerbell's magic flyng dust left, she gave me a handful of sprinkles. I've been waiting for Peter to stop by so we can sightsee over the Caribbean.

I think an early breakfast in August would be wonderful! How early would I be able to get an ADR? Before 8 a.m.?

good to hear I just booked a lunch for 8 there in June

On the other hand maybe I will try to change it. That is a very nice advantage. I do hate to use two DDP points for breakfast though!

How early in the morning do they open????

thanks

I'd love to know the same thing! I'd love to be able to stroll into the MK before the crowds!

We've done breakfast twice and are doing it again in 26 days! We love eating in the castle and dd8 thinks it is a 'must'- if Cinderella invites her! We always try to get the first seating- be on the phone the second the phone lines open at 180 days out though. We have an 8:15 ADR. The first ADR I believe is 8:05- but it has been my experience that anywhere between 8:05 and 8:30? is the 'first seating' and you can be seated when you arrive at the podium. The last time we were there, we had a 8:20. They let us in the park at 8:00 and we took a few pictures with the empty park and then went to the podium. We were seated at 8:10 with no questions asked. Everyone was just giving their names, the cm checked the list, and everyone was being seated- it was kind of crazy that morning- everyone in a big jumble pushing to get to the podium. I think the 'first seating' people are just seated as they arrive- there are no tables to wait on to be cleared or any people left to finish their meals. The princesses are all 'introduced' and then start circulating the room. Very magical and great. DH loves the french stuffed toast- says it is a must for him. (I think he just wants to see the pretty princesses!;) )

We haven't been very impressed by the breakfasts there, we much prefer the breakast in Akershus.
