I have always wanted to take DD (8) to Cinderella's and if I am lucky enough to score a ressie should I include my DS (7) or is it a total princess thing?

Both of my sons enjoyed breakfast at the castle. We didn't think it was too girly at all.

I wouldn't have a problem with it.

I'm taking my son in September! I think he'll love it! It's a castle whats not to love!::MinnieMo ::MickeyMo

My DS 6 never complained about the CRT breakfast being just for girls. Aladdin was there when we dined so that might have helped, but the whole atmosphere is just very elegant and doesn't feel feminine at all. If you DS is anything like mine....he will love all the attention he gets from the princesses! ::yes::

We went when my sons were 6 and 12 and they both enjoyed it. I think the flags and armour and swords etc. are enough to make it more "masculine".

took my son last august (he was 17) & he had the best time - smiled in every picture i took of him with the princesses! he even stood up to have his picture taken with cindy! i never thought he'd have THAT good of a time!!

and a couple of years ago, my husband & i had breakfast in the castle - yep, husband is smiling away in all the pictures!! (he refers to it as "having a lap dance with cindy"!!)

men........sheesh!

I asked my almost 4 year old son yesterday if he was interested in doing a character meal with the princesses. He said 'no, that's for girls'. Then I mentioned it was in the castle, he said, 'OK, I'll eat with the girls'. Based on his responses, I have decided to make a lunch reservation at CRT (no "girlie" princesses, but it is in the castle!). I think he'll love eating in the castle.

What I really would like to see is a character meal with "boy" characters. I know a lot has been said about this (Toy Story in particular, which my son would LOVE), but it would be nice if Tarzan, Hercules, and other 'talking' characters could do a meal.

Not at all. My boys were 10 & 12 when we took DD at age 5. They liked it. The castle was cool and they thought the princesses
were cute!!

Thanks- I have already gone to the PS calculator and I am going to try to get a ressie for our Dec. trip. My son does like castles, knights, etc. so I think he will be fine.
What are my chances? Anyone know what time I should start trying to call?

No way should you take sons to a "princess oriented" meal it could lead to gender confusion. Before you know it he will be playing with dolls and getting beat up in the schoolyard. I urge exterme caution!!!!!!

I wanted to take my two boys, 8&10, to CRT in September but they refuse to go. They DO NOT want to have breakfast with the princesses regardless of the thrill of eating in the castle. They would much rather do the breakfast at Animal Kingdom.

I think we may try lunch in the castle. Then they can have the experience of the castle without the mob of little girls in their princess outfits

As much as I think they would enjoy the breakfast once they got there, it's not worth the arguments & whining leading up to it.

It's their vacation too and I am letting them help plan it. ::yes::
