I had decided awhile back that for our June trip, we would not make ADRs and mainly just do CS as I didn't want to be too tied down to certain places at certain times. However, we will be celebrating my 40th and I just decided today that I'd really like to eat at CRT. I am past the 90 day mark though, so I thought I'd have little chance. But, I called anyway, asking for a breakfast any morning over the course of our trip, and I got one at 10:20! I was so excited to snag the reservation that I didn't think about the price she stated she was billing to my card until after I hung up, and now they are closed. This is breakfast for 3 of us-- me, DD14 and DS11. She said she billed my card for $141.69. I think this is a mistake, don't you? Perhaps she billed me for FOUR rather than THREE?

A friend recently booked dinner and it was $57 a person total. That includes tax & tip. I believe there is a surcharge for character meals in June, it's considered "holiday" time .

That sounds correct. There's a surchage in June, and the total includes tax and tip. DH and I have a June ressie for lunch. We paid $101.92.

The above posters are correct. CRT, like all the other fixed-price restaurants, is subject to the holiday/peak price increase for the entire month of June.

The price increase applies to all fixed-price Disney restaurants, not just character meals.

yeah, that actually does sound about right for breakfast. They add at least $4 per person for the "holiday surcharge", and then taxes & tip get included in the price they bill you so about $47 a person is probably right. (Your kids are billed as adults according to Disney)

We were there for dinner last May and I know the total was over $50 per person...don't remember exact price but it was more than $200 for the four of us.

1/2 the price is for the food and the other 1/2 is for the mere privilege of dining at the castle.

No, I don't believe you were overcharged, it was $141 for 3 adults when we ate lunch there back in 2007 which was 3 years ago. That would seem right to me for 3 adults to eat there for breakfast now that it's 2009. It's very expensive to eat in that castle . IMO it's worth it for the one time experience but we would never eat here again because the price is not worth what you get, to do it more than once .

Hope everything gets worked out with your ADR at CP & have a great trip & a Happy Birthday :bday:

That sounds about right...just remember this does include a photopackage that is not a choice!! You get an 8X10 and 8X10 of the castle and 2 or 4 4X6 pics. I am just trying to remember what we received but I think that is pretty accurate.:wizard:

I was just quoted over $33 for Liberty Tree tavern and they don't even have characters anymore.:confused3

Liberty Tree dinner, being a fixed price menu, is also subject to holiday/peak pricing. The higher pricing applies to ALL fixed-price Disney restaurants whether they have characters or not. Lunch at LTT is an a la carte meal and is not peak-priced.

That sounds about right. We went during the surcharges last May and paid $120 for breakfast for the three of us--but one was a child (age 3) so I think what they charged you for 3 adults sounds about right with the surcharge and I'm sure the base price has gone up a little since we were there last year. Enjoy!

yep 4 4x6

In my humble opinion, CRT is way over priced. It was great when they had the prime rib dinner in three different cuts but it is no where near as good as it usd to be. :sad1:

I agree that it sounds right...and congrats on getting the ADR.
I lucked out this year too, I called about 2 weeks before going and got a dinner ADR for CRT. DH is still grumbling about the price because we didn;t use that one on the DDP and the bill just came the other day. LOL! But we had fun and loved it.

Thanks for the input everyone. I was expecting the bill to be over 100, but the 141 suprised me a bit. I guess I didn't realize that a holiday upcharge applied just because it was "June". :)
That's okay, I'm happy to get the opportunity just to experience. Our first timer trip 3 years ago was awesome, and the castle took my breathe away every time I saw it. I'm happy for the chance to get to go inside!
