On our honeymoon, we had a nice lunch at Cinderella's Royal Table, in Cinderella castle. We'll be returning to WDW this October for our 5th anniversary, but all I could find at Cinderella's Royal Table was character dining. Do they no longer offer just plain lunch reservations, without the character buffets? :confused3

No, they don't.

CRT has been completely ruined-- I feel your pain!

I think there might be less characters for dinner. If I remember correctly, the Fairy Godmother appears only in the lobby. I hate that you can't order a la carte anymore though.

ME TOO! I understand the need for one major, character buffet - it IS Cinderella's Castle, after all. But I don't understand why the rest of the time isn't reserved for families and couples who just want to have a nice, very special, intimate meal. I love Disney's buffets, but buffets just don't cut it when you're looking for something a little nicer. Darn! On our honeymoon, they sprinkled our table with ribbons and confetti, and gave us a complimentary set of champagne classes that say "Cinderella's Royal Table" on them. It's one of our greatest memories! It's really sad to think that other couples won't be able to experience the same thing. :sad2:

Dinner isn't a buffet - its a plated meal with an appetizer, entree and dessert included in the price.
You can still get that special package.

We got the same thing when we were celebrating our engagement! :teeth:

My Hubby and I had a nice romantic dinner at CRT on our honeymoon this past January. We booked the latest possible time to eat (I think our ADR was at about 7:45pm). We had our picture taken with Cinderella in the lobby (and the picture was included in the price) but that was the only character we saw the whole time. We were seated at a table with confetti and were presented with the champagne glasses that said "Cinderella's Royal Table". We then had a leisurely meal interrupted only by the lights dimming and watching Wishes out the stained glass windows in the back of the restaurant. It was a magical night! I highly recommend it.

That sounds like it would have been wonderfull.

The only character that is "technically" at dinner is Cinderella. Fairy Godmother and Suzy and Perla are at dinner, but they are just in a show.
