Cinderella's Royal Table Meal without DDP?

Okay, with help from another topic I have come to the conclusion that I like the looks of the Swan hotel. But I can't do DDP because I would not be staying in a Disney property. Fair enough.

Now, I would like to do Cinderella's Royal Table for lunch or dinner some time while I am in WDW (we're talking about early July '09 here).

As I understand it, I would need to make an advanced dining reservation for this. And I imagine I would have to do it pretty early.

Also, I know that if you have DDP you get to make ADRs ten days earlier than if you don't have DDP.

Question: If I do not have DDP, and so cannot book ten days earlier than the general public, do I have a reasonable chance of booking Cinderella's Royal Table?

The 180+10 rule doesn't have anything to do with the DDP - it has to do with when you check into your onsite hotel. You can call 180 days before your check-in day and book something up to 10 days into your trip. Whether you have the DDP or not.

I do not know how difficult it will be. I haven't tried it yet - I will be trying in June.

Excellent - thank you for clearing up my misunderstanding :)

dinner timing, you shouldn't have any problems. Dinner is a different type of character interaction than breakfast and lunch and appears, to me, to have less demand. Last year we added days to our trip about four months out and dinner was still available, with good times, on a couple of different nights.

I agree. Flexibility is key. I've booked CRT maybe 2 months in advance without any issue. Good luck!

Thank you, everyone. It's a long way away, yet I'm already more excited about it than I am about my "regular" 2008 summer holiday plans!

Dinner is a comparitively easy ADR - we got our 8pm Saturday dinner ressie 2 weeks ago by calling in January.

I booked CRT lunch at like 174 days. I didnt call until like 1030 am. Granted, it was one of the last lunch seatings at 2:45, but I got it on the day i wanted, first try. Definitely don't let it discourage you. I thinka lot of peopel feel if they dont call right away, its not even worth trying for. Cant hurt to try though!!!
