I got Cinderella's Royal Table for lunch (so excited!) :cool1: I was just wondering if someone could give me more details on the menu? I read the sample menu, but I was wondering what the appetizers are, which is the best entree, what is the dessert like, etc. Thanks for any help!!

We were there a month ago. We really enjoyed it. The princesses were delightful -- they spent lots of time with us and played their characters well. We also had pretty good service, although the servers seem more harried now that it's a princess meal than they used to when it was just a lunch place.

Having said that, the quality of the meal has declined somewhat since it became a one-price princess lunch. Obviously, part of the meal cost is now apportioned to paying for the characters. There used to be a choice of soup, salad and a couple of other appetizers. Now it is a set appetizer for the table. And, a pretty sorry excuse for an appetizer it is. Just a few stray pieces of cheese and a couple of raw veggies. It can't cost more than 50 cents per table to serve it! You don't have a choice of ordering something else.

For an entree I usually have either the pasta or the Major Domo's pie. Both are still available. Prime rib used to be an option at lunch. I'm not sure about that anymore.

The dessert was a cobbler-type thing with ice cream and fairly tasty.

They used to serve delicious rolls. Those are gone now, for lunch anyway. No bread and butter of any kind.

As I said, the service was much less attentive at lunch this time than in the numerous times we've been their prior to its being a princess meal. The princesses were great, though.

I would only go at lunch, now, if I had a specific desire to see the princesses. Otherwise, I'd go for dinner or not go.

That sounds like just the kid's appetizer - didn't you get the adult one too? Since DD ate most of our adult one, I can't recall exactly what it had, but things like chicken & crab roll. True, it didn't have a lot on it either. :flower:

i thought i had seen pics of that( has 3 things on it i think like one was a crab cake maybe???) but thought i was wrong? is it one appetizer dish per person or per table

jann1033 - it's one per table. We received the adult one & a kid one. We ate at so many places, I can't recall exactly what was on it, but I think there was some kind of chicken, mozzerella, and 2 seafood items - but I don't recall it being a crab cake (I could be wrong though). I'm a finicky eater so I ate more off DD's grapes & cheese, so I'm just not sure what was on the adult one. DD loved it though.

We had two adults and two children at our table. I have no idea if we got the adult appetizer or the child appetizer or both. All I know is there was very little on it and what was on it was in very tiny pieces. It may have had a nickel-sized crab cake with the bite of cheese. I just don't know. It was only a month ago and I can't remember it. I think that fact speaks for itself. All I know is I'd much rather have skipped the "appetizer" and had one of their delicious rolls!

These are not very encouraging posts- I realize now the appitizer is lacking but how is the entre? and Dessert? Any good??

My friend got us reservations for 10 of us!!!! in Jan- I was so excited!!!!!! Should I rethink this reservation???

I ate there two weeks ago and loved it. It was my favorite character meal, and I did four.

The appetizers were a few pieces of good, fresh mozerella, with some kind of tomato-basil sauce, two mini crab cakes, that were very good, they were about the size of a walnut, also had some kind of tomato sauce, two seafood wontons, that had a wasabi cream sauce, they were very good, and grilled chicken, that was bland, but not bad, over greens with raspberries, and walnut vinaigrette.

I thought the appetizers were very good, except for the chicken, which had very little taste and seasoning, and the salad, but that's because I rarely like vinaigrettes, the greens themselves were fresh.

For my entree I had Major Domo's pie. It was yummy. The veggies on top were fresh, and the mashed potatoes had a garlic flavor to them, which were very good, and the meat was very tender in a very rich sauce. The pastry itself was also very good, and rich.

The dessert, which they say is blueberry cobbler, is actually a blueberry muffin, but it was very light and moist. The lemon ice cream, with it is delicious. It's also served with fresh blueberries and strawberries.

I'll be posting food pics either today or tommorow.

The characters were Sleeping Beauty, Mary Poppins, Wendy, Belle, and of course Cinderella. They were very gracious. They didn't spend a lot of time at my table, but all I wanted was a picture and autograph anyway. I did see them spending a good amount of time at the other tables though.

The service was excellant, and as I was dining solo, the waiter was nice enough, to take my pictures with the characters. I didn't have to ask, he offered, and he also made sure I had seen everybody.

thank you disneyfav4ever that was a little more encouraging! The Domo Pie sounds great!! Any others care to comment on the food?????? good or bad??

anditoo72, We thought the food was good. :flower:
We had the Domo, and the Salmon - the Salmon was VERY good. Enjoyed the dessert too.

We had the Majo Domo, and I really liked it. DH isn't a veggie fan, so he had to pick through quite a bit of it, but he still liked the parts he ate. There were peppers and carrots surrounding a mound of pot roast over garlic potatoes, all this atop a puff pastry pillow. There was a zesty sauce drizzled over the vegetables...very tasty. The appetizers weren't anything special, as noted earlier, but they were still ok. The dessert was yummy, it was a warm blueberry muffin with a cheesecake center, with lemon ice cream melting into it and a slightly tart raspberry sauce. Mmmm!

Sir David was our server, and he was wonderful! The worst part was the wait in the lobby to be seated. We had a 2:15 ADR, but didn't get seated till almost 3, and there is very little seating. It was air conditioned though!

Enjoy! :wave2:

Where do you post pictures? Your review made me feel a little more confident that I would enjoy the food. Although I would say that the main reason we are going is for the atmosphere and of course to see Cinderella, it would help if the food was good. Our ADR is for 1:25 on January 6th. Does anyone have any ideas on if this is a good time (not that we could change it)/will we have a long wait?

hockeybabe, we had Sir David last Dec for breakfast. :flower: He really made it a very special experience for DD, who was celebrating her birthday. He's probably the best server we've had at wdw.

I read posts that are up and down regarding food and service. I have ressies for Jan 3rd, and have convinced myself that we are simply going for the Princesses, and if my DGD is happy, it will be worth it.

Now, that's what I tell myself. The truth is that I really do hope that the food is good, because after reading ALL of the food postings, I have become obsessed :goodvibes :goodvibes and cannot seem to help myself.

Oh well, as long as Cinderella is there...my SIL ordered a Cindy dress for our little Princess. princess:
