Hi Guys,
Another newbie question from a DD.

Last year we went to Cinderella's Royal Table for breakfast and we met the Fairy God Mother downstairs. (There was no photographer down here.) After a while we were seated upstairs and we met Snow White, Sleeping Beauty, Cinderella, Mary? (from Peter Pan), Mary Poppins and probably one other princess. They served us breads (muffins, danish, biscuit) fruit, eggs, meats etc. It took about an hour and then we were free to leave.

I am confused about the changes that were suppose to take place in Feb 2006.
They have added a photographer it seems, and the fairy Godmother has moved upstairs? Are the pictures given to you free or is there a cost?
Also, the menu is now a "fixed price" meal. What does that mean? Now you only meet characters from the "royal family?" (Disney Online states that.)

What I am afraid of is that I am going to pay my money ($100 or so for all 4 of us) and then when we are seated, I am going to have to pay additionally to eat. I am also worried that the other princesses will not be here. :-(

Thanks for any help that you can provide,
Matthew

From what I understand from reading the MANY posts on this is that you come in, get your photo with Cinderella and/or Fairy Godmother (photo package included in the price) and then go in to eat. The other princesses (varies) come around to the tables - I have seen posted Snow White, Belle, Jasmine, Aladdin, etc.

We booked CRT for our August trip for the first time (DD is 3 and VERY into the princesses! princess: ).

But does the base price ($33.99 for adults, 21.99 for kids) INCLUDE the food?

Thanks,
Matthew

Yes, the price includes the food. During breakfast and lunch, other princesses will circulate. Although, from recent reviews, I don't think it seems like as many as you saw previously.

I was there two weeks ago with DD. The price that is published - sorry, I don't remember what I paid it was so long ago since you pay in advance - includes everything for that "event" including the tip. I did not need to take my CC or cash out at any time!

We walked in and were directed into the lobby area, were DD had her picture taken (and I took photos as well) with Cinderella.

We then waited downstairs for our "invitation" to be announced. Once we were called, we went upstairs. DD was given a "magic wand" (boys get swords).

Then we were seated.

CM then brought us a bowl of fresh fruit, and a basket of various breads/biscuts, as well as juice and coffee.

She then explained the menu offerings (pre-plated meal)
Kids got bacon, scrambled eggs, french toast dipping sticks.

Adults had a 'healthy" choice of yogurt, mueslix (granola type cereal) and fruit or stuffed french toast, scrambled egss and sausage. I chose the "unhealthy" version - after all I had eaten fruit from the fruit bowl.

Before the food arrived the photographers brought around the photo package in a nice (cardboard) frame. (1) 5x7 and (4) 4x6 and a picture of the castle.

Breakfast arrived promptly, as well as offer of more beverages.

Soon after the Princesses arrived. We saw Snow White, Princess Aurora, Belle (in her blue dress), Fairy Godmother

DD asked for more bacon at one point, and that was also brought promptly.

After we saw all of the Princesses and finished our meal, we were free to leave - with just the two of us were were out by about 9:45.

Where this is different than other character meals, which causes the price to seem out of line I guess is that you don't have a choice to buy the photo. However when I bought the photo package at the PSB in January, and one at Chef Mickey in April - it was approx $31 - so if it is something you would do anyway, I don't think it's such a bad deal.

We enjoyed it, and I was glad to see the inside of the castle. DD9 is not "all that" into the Princesses, so that was not really the draw -she gets her photos taken with the characters I think because she knows I love having them. We do autographs as well, but none of these characters were new to us - it was all about eating in the castle for me!

Have to agree with makinorlando basically - except we had the lunch version. We had our picture with Cinderella downstairs and then did the lunch thing upstairs. Characters included Belle (blue dress), snow white, aurora, and fairy godmother (whom we had not previously met anywhere). We are going again on June 16th - hoping for Prince Charming (haven't met before) or maybe Mary Poppins (haven't met).

Guys, this is GREAT info. Thanks a ton. This answers my worries. Now, to try to get a reservation... The hard part just begins. :-)
