What characters are present for dinner? The dining reservation site lists the same princesses that are present at breakfast. I heard there are the evil step sisters and fairy godmother, but they're not listed.

Also, we plan on taking my parents. DH and I have 2 boys (10 and 7) who are not interested in princesses.....at all. Would you still book a dinner there, just to show your adult parents the inside of the castle? (I've been there with my niece and sons and DH could care less about the castle). TIA!!!! a bunch!!!

The stepsisters were never there. They are at 1900 Park Fare. Fairy Godmother and mice were removed last year, and there are princesses at dinner now, just like at breakfast and lunch. Cinderella is still downstairs for photos.

Thanks.

Now I have to figure out if my young-ish senior parents would like to see princesses....hmm.

When we went last summer Cinderella was downstairs for pictures. During dinner Snow White, Belle (in blue dress), Ariel, and Aurora came around. When we went in 2009, we saw Jasmine instead of Ariel.

Are you thinking of surprising your parents? Because you could always just ask them about CRT. Ditto with the kids. :)

The boys might be curious enough about the castle to really enjoy being there. We knew our littlest daughter would love it, so we ate there. My oldest daughter is VERY anti-princess, but she truly liked the novelty of being inside the famous castle. She didn't care about interacting with the princesses, but it was funny to see her reaction when they came around to our table. She had fun as they asked about her day and chatted. The characters (and waitstaff) are very nice. Our waiter continually referred to my husband as "the king" and "my lord" and casually mentioned that Cinderella's evil stepsisters were responsible for washing the dishes at the castle. It was a really fun and silly.

Your boys might not like having their pic taken with Cinderella before the meal. Make sure you all decide beforehand who will be in the professional photo so no one is stressed out with embarrassment. ;) The boys would receive swords with their meals.

If the kids are totally against CRT, then another idea might be for the grandparents to go on their own.

Best wishes and hope you all have a wonderful trip! :goodvibes

We do lunch and dinner there every time we go to WDW. We are actually doing dinner there twice in November. Love it! Great food! FWIW.... it is one of my DS's favorite places to eat! Ariel always gives him a kiss on the cheek that makes him turn red, but he is quickly overjoyed by the waiter delivering his all time favorite sword! He breaks his at home at some point every year so he always looks forward to getting his new one. They wave their swords in the air during the wishing ceremony when the girls wave their wands. They also get a wishing star just like the girls! DS LOVES it!!!

I actually pay for our majorettes to go there every time we take my husband's marching band, even though they aren't terribly princess minded. I got a kick last time (April 2010), when one of the girls who had been to Disney before told her mom she was eating in the castle. Her mom told her she probably heard wrong because she didn't think you could really "go into" the Castle. She told her it was probably the Crystal Palace she was thinking of. You can imagine the jaw drops that happened when they headed in and up the stairs. My point is, everyone enjoyed the novelty of eating in the Castle and looking out over Fantasyland--princesses notwithstanding. The food is great, the atmosphere is fun, and it definitely ups the magic factor.

Great!

I booked it. Luckily, I was able to get a 8:10 slot. I wanted to surprise my parents but decided to ask my mom and she thought my dad would be shocked and have a good time....so there it is.
