Cinderella's Royal Table Dinner

Well I must say, I am completely dissappointed in the new Cindy's Table dinner.

We ate there on Sunday for our friends' DD's 3rd birthday. And it was not the experience we thought it would be at all.

First I must say, DH & I would eat dinner at Cindy's Table once a trip everytime we went to WDW. We will never eat there again.

The food was AWFUL! It tasted like it came out of a microwave. It was just bad bad bad!

My DS is under 3, and he was offered buttered pasta, or we would have been charged $30 for chicken nuggets!

The "show" was boring, not at all interesting. It was just a sad experience.

I ate all of 3 bites of my meal. Everyone else at the table also ate hardly any of their meal.

Even the deserts were dry & just BAD.

We were completely rushed through our pictures & they came out really bad. I didn't even want them, they looked so bad.

And to top it off, we did not even get our lithograph. We were told they sent it to our hotel. Well we are home now & still have not gotten it yet. :confused3

DH complained to the manager, in a really nice way. I mean there was no nastiness at all. She was flippant & did not even seem to pay attention.

The sever told us that most of the staff is unhappy with the changes, and even apologized to us. Our sever told us "Now you know why the price is so 'resonable' for food & a picture package. I wouldn't eat it."

The manager could not even be bothered with us.

Totally NOT worth the price! BAD BAD BAD BAD experience!

After dinner we all went to The Pinocchio Village Haus for reasonably priced chicken nuggets! And they were good!

Dont waste your money or TS credits on Cinderella's Table. It was totally awful!

Oh & the "lost" the cake order we had called in. So we were did not get a personalized cake. And they did not even care.

Oh, how sad an experience that was! Very disappointing, to say the least. I'm really glad I got my lunch in before all the changes, when it was still quite good and the staff friendly and entertaining!

Thanks for your review. I'm sorry you had such a bad experience. There is no excuse for a "who cares" attitude when you voice your displeasure to a manager at Disney.

I am sorry they have made so many changes to CRT. We had breakfast there 7 years ago. My teenage DD has voiced that she would like to go back again sometime. I am thinking we will wait and see if Disney will make some changes and get some of the magic back there. If not, we're not going to go back.

Thanks again for the post.

We always looked forward to eating in the castle. I'm so sorry to hear about your experience. We had dinner there in December, before the changes, and everything was great...probably one of my favorite meals of the trip! DS 2.5 ate almost all of his baked pasta...he was living off of french fries during the rest of the trip! I'm hoping you just had a bad night and this isn't a trend. :(

Sad to say but my experience there wasn't much better - we were there on 2/7 - just after they started this. We had no staff issues and my prime rib was great - however DH hated his meal, my kids never touched their meals, the menu was VERY VERY limited, only 3 appetizers, maybe 6 entrees and 3 desserts, the "show" was boring. I got my litho but my kids don't care about it at all - we thought we were getting wands and swords not a picture?!?!?

We used to eat at least once in the Castle so we figured we'd try it - never again - at leats not for dinner. We walked out of there feeling like we had just been the victims of a scam..

I feel exactly the same way! We already had the "magic" of a breakfastthere one year and a lunch the next. We won't be considering the dinner one!

I hope that they have the kinks worked out before June when we eat there. Cinderella is my niece's favorite and this is supposed to be the highlight of our trip for her birthday.

By the way what is the "show" that ya'll are talking about? I've heard no mention of this with the changes that have been made?

We went for dinner before the changes and the food was bad then too! At least it was only 1 TS credit then instead of 2 now. I have a breakfast booked, but will likely be cancelling it. If anyone needs a Cindy's Bfast ressie @ 8:10am on 5/31/06 let me know.

Thanks for letting us know. We were planning on CRT, but now I think we'll pick a different character meal.

Thank you for posting this- this was on our list now I'll go someplace else.

We had breafast there on 2/1/06. It was awful. The food wasn't worth the price of admission and the princesses were less than magical. My 2 yr olds had no clue who Mary Poppins was and we couldn't quite figure out why she was there in the first place. Then when they started the whole wishing star/wand/sword act, we had to ask for a wand and sword for the 2 year olds (almost 3) because they were not considered offical guests (even though we paid for 4 adult meals for myself, hub, bro, & sis-in-law). I think they only accomadated in giving us some because they saw a tantrum about to be thrown. We paid in advance and our service horrible. We will probably NEVER go back unless changes are made.

The "show" is not even a show.

It is the Fairy Godmother & 2 of the mice (Suzy & Perla) wondering around the resturant. The Fairy Godmother talks about dreams coming true. She asks if anyone is celebrating anything special, and the guests raise hands...Thats it. But there is not interaction with the guests, except she tells everyone to keep dreaming.

They do not go to tables, they do not take pictures or interact with the guests.

Cinderella does not come into the resturant. She is downstairs in the lobby taking pictures like she always has.

The food choices are very limited. And like I said, NO ONE at my table (4 adults & 2 kids) enjoyed their meal. We hardly ate anything & all needed real food after the dinner.

A complete waste of money & time!

For the life of me, I can't figure out why Disney has changed the food options at the CRT? It was a favorite of mine and it felt so cool to be eating there. I've had lunch and dinner there 5 times in the past 4 years and loved it. Why did they change the menu? I've also heard nothing but bad reviews and I'm wondering if I should cross it off my list of must do's at WDW?

First O'hana the CRT. If Disney keeps up at this rate, I'll be slim in no time. :rotfl2:

:( I'm so sad to hear all of these bad reviews. We've eaten at the castle (lunch or dinner) on almost every trip. Hopefully it gets better before we return.

I am sad....I have reservations for my last night at Disney in April. My wife, daughter and I have never eaten in the castle. Should we cancel? Is it worth it just to be in the castle?

Now that they took the filet off the menu, I don't think we will be going back. I didn't see anything that looked good! I do think the experience is nice, especially for children.

We had dinner at CRT on 2/4 -- 5 adults and my 4yo DGD. We adults were not impressed, but felt it was certainly worth it to se my granddaughter's face. She's still talking about it. I probably would not go again -- unless she insisted of course!!

I would cancel it!

Had I known then, what I know now, there is NO way I would have had our friends' DD's "special birthday dinner" there. It was a big dissappointment!

There are SO many better places to eat in Disney World.

You will be much happier elsewhere.

I understand why they added a full character lunch. But why did they decide to do the dinner half baked?

With all the bad reviews, perhaps spots are open and you can change your reservation to lunchtime. It's a nice respite in the middle of the day, but there are so many better places to go for dinner. I believe spending dinner prices here would be a huge waste and the character experience would be more enjoyable when your daughter is better-rested anyway. ~Ev
