Hi. This is our first trip as a family to WDW.

We have reservations to celebrate my daughter's 1st birthday at Cinderella's Royal Table.
I would like to dress in her in a Cinderella dress/costume. Should I buy it now someplace online (if someone can tell me where) or wait until I get there?
I would like to make her a Cinderella charm bracelet but someone told me they have those there as well. (so much for being original. ha!) Are the bracelets her size? I found this one on Ebay.

Is it as nice as the ones at WDW for her age?
I just don't want to get there and find out the costumes and bracelets are sold out in her size since it will be peak season when we're there.

Thanks!

I don't remember seeing infant-size princess gowns when we were in WDW and I checked online www.disneystore.com and the dresses they had started at about a size 3.

My suggestion would be to have a princess dress made for your daughter. That way it could be made out of comfortable cotton and the hem could be higher so she won't trip over it.

You could probably use any little girl's dress pattern and lenghten the hem and add lace or a Cinderella patch on the bodice.

I would try to get one off Ebay if it's possible. Memaw was very helpful to me when I made a Princess dress for my daughter this fall - but - it can cost as much as a "ready made" and the frustration can get tiring. Have fun! princess:

Make sure she really wants to dress in the princess dress for the breakfast too. I brought my one year old and he slept through the whole thing. Putting a tiara on her is just as cute as hauling the whole dress into the park - getting her into it and then back out of it for the rest of the park day. She will get a lot of attention by just wearing a little something rather than the whole getup. One year olds can be tricky. We went with a 2 yo little girl who did have her dress on. She didn't really care - everyone else had there's on too. I think its best to try and do something different than all the other girls do so the princesses remark on the originality of it to your DD. i.e. a tiara or a "born to be a princess" T-shirt. Now granted I have a prince, but the princesses made a huge fuss over him just because he was so young and cute - they loved putting big red kisses on his cheeks while he slept.

FYI - there is a great big bathroom on the lobby floor of CRT - its the handicap restroom but it has a great changing area.

Wow!

I think the idea of a home-made dress sounds practical, my kids cannot wear polyester, they get too hot. How about a super fancy bib? Very lacey and maybe it could say Princesses first birthday or something? Then you won't have to worry about the dress during breakfast. I have also heard you can get a button that says it is your birthday and the CM give you extra attention in the park. Enjoy!

We just got back last week and I purchased a Cinderella dress for my princess while we were there. The smallest size is a 2T/3T, but in my opinion they run small. How well it would fit depends on the size of your daughter. My DD is 16 months old, wears a size 12 months clothes, and weighs about 19 pounds. The dress is a little bit big on her, but I think it would fit a child who wears size 18 months clothes just fine. They cost $55. We tried it on her in the store and she just LOVED it! She pranced in circles and spun just like a princess! princess: Everyone was laughing at my little ham. It was so much fun shopping with her...lol Expensive, but fun. (We also ended up with a Tinkerbell because she liked that one too!)

about the bracelets. I got one at the Disney store before we left and the charms they sell at the parks are almost the same, they all link on with a clasp. They are a bit bigger? in some ways and are $3.00 each. I bought extra charms while we were there. The bracelets are plain chains in silver so you can just link it to the size you need.
also check out the custom ones from *haylee*kates*mom* boutique on ebay. She made me a beautiful Cinderella one with pearls and a coach charm that was a bit hit!

If you want a costume, now is a very good time to buy from Disneystore.com because they are having a sale. I have seen some lovely Disney Princess costumes at Target and Wal-Mart, but I haven't seen anything that would fit a 1 year old. Disney Stores don't carry costumes except at Halloween, which is silly because it is probably the number one request. Also, my Disney Store is out of the charm bracelets that were carried around November, with no news of getting more, so most likely other Disney Stores won't carry them either. I did see a charm bracelet at Disneystore.com, but I don't know if it's what you're looking for.

We will be visiting CRT as well on our trip and DD will be wearing her Cinderella custome from Halloween last year.

I dont know that you would find anything at the Disney Store at this time of year, but both Target and Big Lots carry Disney Princess dresses for about $20.

I picked up the charm bracelet at the Disney Store for DD's bday in Oct. and I havent seen them since.

Home made dresses are always nicer. My good friend is getting into sewing and made her dd a belle dress for halloween and is now making her a sleeping beauty dress for their upcoming trip to WDW.

How about putting her in a blue onesie t-shirt, adding a little skirt to it and decorating the front of the onesie with those fabric paint pens. The craft stores carry a large supply of these paints and Disney transfers.

Also, they are now selling these cute little crowns that you get in downtown disney and the resorts and add charms and a little veil to it and you are all set.

The stores in WDW have cinderella charm bracelets for little ones. (at least they did in September!) The clasp could close on any link so the size was adjustable.
Any fabric store carries patterns for cinderella dresses. I made my daughter a snow white dress for halloween and in the package there were patterns for different princesses-- cinderella, snow white, belle and ariel. Fabric at Wal-Mart is cheaper than a fabric store unless they are having a sale. It cost about $12 to make the snow white dress and it is not as hard as it looks! (the only thing I ever sew is halloween costumes--I am NOT a seamstress!)Try to make it yourself and it will REALLY be special!:wave2:

Not a dress idea but you could just put her in something comfortable and get one of those cute Disney princess bibs (that have the arm holes) at KMart. They look like a mini-princess outfit. I recall Cinderella and Sleeping Beauty. I think I may have seen them at Babies R Us also. I have a little prince though so we got a Tigger and a Pooh bib. Have fun!
