I'm torn. My family and I are going to WDW in August and it will be my son's first trip. I want to take him to a princess meal so that the princesses lavish attention on him and kiss him so I can get some cute pictures for my scrapbook. (Oh yeah, I love the princesses too!!!!!)

I was all set to go for the Storybook Breakfast at Epcot and then I read some unfavorable reviews. My DH and I love Cindy's but we also know there is no guarantee that we'd get a PS for there. So should I make a PS for both, or at least TRY and then decide once we're there? If we get Cindy's I am sure we will go to that one.......if I get both, we'd probably opt for Cindy's instead of Epcot.

Sp what do you think? BTW, my son will be one.

Of course, everyone has different experiences so I'll tell you ours.

We've been to CRT's 3 times now, pretty good, food is not bad, we were just there last Friday and it was better than our last trip. Characters were a little rushed this time, but still a fun time. The last 2 trips they weren't as rushed. I would definitely go again if I can get PS there.

PSB, it will take me a while to go back. We went once and it was terrible. Food underdone and cold, service terrible, asked the waiter for warm milk and he straight out told me he probably wouldn't be able to get it for me (and didn't), dd wanted oatmeal I brought with us. The characters took 45 minutes to get to us, very rushed, one after another. Very disappointed, but others have had different experiences.

Best advice if you really want to do a princess breakfast, book PSB and if you get into CRT's then cancel PSB, you may have a good experience there (this was our first bad restaurant experience in the 20 something times we've been to WDW). And, Disney did take care of us when I emailed them about it. PSB doesn't require a deposit so just make a PS there 120 days out.

Let me weigh this one...

on one hand, there is the Storybook Princess breakfast, with large seating area, great princesses, good service, good food and ability to get PS 120 days out.

on the other is Cinderella's Royal Table, in Cinderella's Castle in the MK, great princesses, OK food, OK service, limited seating capacity, high demand, and ability to get PS only 60 days out... if you are lucky and get through precisely at 7 am...

No contest... I am going for the Storybook Princess Breakfast!!!!

Personally, I would give up both to eat with Mary Poppins and Alice at 1900 Park Faire!

I let me 6 year old pick for our trip in December (we were lucky enough to do both back in October) and she chose Storyland breakfast.

I believe she chose it because it had Sleeping Beauty and Jasmine and Mulan which CRT didn't have when we were there....not sure if this IS the reason but that's my guess.

I think atmosphere at CRT is nicer and being at MK early is good BUT I think the food is about the same...and Storybook wasn't bad either. Kind of looks like a castle inside!

Tough decision. Good luck!

I am also torn about which breakfast to do. I was considering the storybook breakfast just because I wont have the major headache of trying to get a reservation. Then my 11 yr. old daughter mentioned that she doesnt care which breakfast we do but she wants to eat at cindys castle just to say she ate there, whether there are any characters or not. So I figured I will try to get into cindys castle breakfast, If I cant get into that I will reserve storybook and have lunch or dinner at the castle. I cancelled a dentist appt. I had made so I could be home on the 60th day before we leave just to try to get a ressie. I am concerned about the amount of money I will be spending on food. My parents are coming with me and my daughters and my dad wont want to spend a fortune on dinner every night. Do you have to book 60 days in advance? If you call before that will they just tell you "no you cant book that now". Im concerned I wont get a ressie at either breakfast and my daughters will be disappointed. Last trip in 2000 we didnt see any princesses, so we HAVE to see them this time.

Sorry, they will not accept any PS for Cinderella's Royal Table prior to 60 days before the day on which you plan to dine. If you call, they will politely ask you to call back on the correct date.

If your DD isn't really picky about having the characters at hre meal at the castle, I would do the Storybook Princess Breakfast, and lunch (which is a whole lot cheaper than dinner) at Cinderella's Royal Table. I understand that the lunch is quite delicious, too!

Since you want to be cost conscious, then plan frugal meals for the rest of your trip!

Absolutely-Princess Storybook! We have done both PSB and Cindy's. We did not like Cindy's and have no plans to return anytime soon. PSB will be a regular breakfast for us, though. The food is better at PSB, the characters are much more relaxed, and there is more space than the castle. We love PSB! :bounce: :bounce: :bounce: :bounce: :bounce: :bounce:

PSB all the way. I MUCH prefer the character interaction and the food there. We had a great time last year when it first opened.

CRT is just not worth the hassle of getting the PS, and your son won't know the difference at age one. :) Go with the easier PS to get and enjoy.

I'll throw in my .02 since this decision is one my family hemmed and hawed over for our trip last December.

We actually ended up doing both CRT and PSB on our trip.

I believe everyone should do CRT at least once. No, the food is not great, but I enjoyed it. It really is an atmosphere thing. Really neat to dine at the castle. But it gets to the point of ridiculous when it comes down to trying to make a reservation. I felt like I was trying to get tickets to the Beatle's reunion! Three days in a row of getting up at 6:00, speed dialing repeatedly, only to be too late when you finally get through at 6:03! (CST).

We enjoyed our experience at PSB. Liked the food at least as much as CRT and had a much lower stress factor to deal with.

This will be our character breakfest of choice from now on.
