We have been to the breakfast and loved it. Good food and all you can eat. Has anyone been to the lunch?

To me and the fam, CC is way over priced and if you use the dining plan it is not worth two credits. The food is ok, I would rather Cal Gril or Citricos

Glad to hear you enjoyed the breakfast. We would like to try that but I am a little unsure of the limited items they have on the menu.

I can't help you with lunch but I would think that if your main reason to go to the castle is to go to the castle not the food and something on the lunch menu appeals to you go for it. We had dinner at the castle and while the food wasn't fantastic is was good enough for us to return if DD wants to.

I had the opprotunity to dine at CC for breakfast in 2005 while it was still only 1 TS credit on the DDP. Personally I felt it was the worse meal I had during that trip. You pay for the atmosphere. I felt very rushed. In and out in 20 mins. That might have been our own faults for not taking our time. The princesses 'swept' through the room, one right after the other and then left the dining area. The food was eh. Nothing spectacular. I have definitely had better breakfasts in the 'world'. IMHO

We are doing the BBB before the park opens and then doing CRT for lunch. I have never eaten at the castle. I am concerned too because there isn't much on the menu that appeals to me. Possibly the Domo's pie:confused3. I am trying to look at it as an experience with my kids in the castle because I am not expecting much from the food. I can't believe I am spending $52 on a pot pie :lmao:

We had lunch there a couple of years ago. I had the sandwich (that appears to have disappeared from the menu) and really enjoyed it. Clearly it wasn't worth $50 but again you are going for the atmosphere and the princesses.

We're booked for December for DD's birthday again for lunch. If you're looking for Princess interaction - I always think Akershus is better - to us it feels more relaxed and not as hurried.

been to lunch at CRT three times. Obviously we felt like it was worth revisiting. That's really driven by our daughter's reaction.

This past trip my wife and I had discussed leaving CRT off our itinerary for the next trip. We had barely left the WDW gates when my wife opined that we might have to rethink that decision. Our daughter had had her best time of the three at CRT. It may have been there was small birthday celebration or that this her first time going to BBB before lunch or that Ariel, her favorite, was at that lunch.

I just looked at the menu at Disney's site. It does appear that the sandwich has been replaced with an entree salad. We have tried three of the four other entrees (salmon, pork tenderloin and Major Domo's) and all four have been on the menu for a few years. My wife and I have both settled on the Maor Domo as our favorite. (I see it most mentioned also as a favorite by DISers.)

If it were just my wife and I we would head to AP or Jiko or another signature place. It is our daughter's reaction that makes the cast worthwhile.

In November, I went to CRT with my older sister and her daughter. I found that the breakfast food wasn't as good as it should have been for two dining credits, but my niece absolutely adored meeting the princesses! For her, it was a dream come true, and to be a witness to that definitely made my day so much more magical! :wizard:

IMO...if you want to do a character breakfast, there are many other options rather than CRT. But if CRT is one of your "must-dos", like my niece, than you should definitely do it. :)
