Hi all,

In the past we have only done Cinderella's castle for dinner. And only if we are on the dining plan. But our last dinner there 2 summers ago I didn't love the new menu (hated the cold appetizer platter, they did not serve any hot bread or butter)

I'm wondering what the breakfast experience is like and if anyone considers it worth 2 dining points per person.

Thanks, Marina

I never thought it was worth 2 TS credits. We always paid OOP and used our dining credits on 2 one credit locations elsewhere.

Not even worth one if all you're looking at is food!! But, on the other hand if you are looking for the experience, it's like most things 'Disney'!! If you didn't like the dinner menus, more than likely you'll feel the same about breakfast if you're just looking at the food! :)

I don't care one whit about the food. For us it's all about the experience. And we try hard not to miss it. Dining in the castle is one of the few things I miss about WDW since swapping mostly to DLR.

For the experience the Cinderellas Castle is a great experience for breakfast plus you can get into the park a bit early. Another good experience is the Crystal Palace for breakfast plus the food is good (winnie the pooh characters). Have a great time!

We always paid for this one out of pocket and to me it was only worth it because it is the castle and it made my daughter smile. Now that she is 17 breakfast with Rapunzel fills her princess needs.

I think eating in the castle is something that everyone should experience once, but if you have already done it then I wouldn't bother to do it again.
I prefer breakfast in the castle over the other meals, but have no interest in doing it again.
I do love to do prepark breakfast ADR's, but I prefer Crystal Palace over the castle.
It is breakfast and the food is not worth the price or 2 dining credits in my opinion.

We were fortunate to snag CRT, Akershus, and the Rapunzel/Ariel breakfasts over Thanksgiving. In our opinion, it was our last trip to CRT. The castle is great, but the food is awful. We also felt like the character interactions were a little rushed. The PPO Akershus is exponentially better than CRT for both food and interactions. However, our new favorite is the Rapunzel/Ariel at Trattoria on Boardwalk. Our daughters (6 and 2) really loved the prince interactions as well, and the food puts all the others to shame. No advantage of the PPO reservation being on the Boardwalk, but still close walk to Epcot or HS. Can't really go wrong with any for the interactions, but for food the others are head and shoulders above CRT. Enjoy!

I love how everyone is answering different questions. numerically speaking I don't believe that the cost of the breakfast is a good use of 2 dining credits. you can buy a lot more with those credits elsewhere. the breakfast is about $62 for an adult so you are valuing the credits at $31 each. even a 1 credit character breakfast, arguably some of the lowest value for a credit is a few $$ more... and you certainly can get a lot more value at dinner on many other places, even at 2 credits. I'd do this one oop if I wanted to do breakfast and not lunch/dinner.

now whether it is worth the price paid, that is a very personal question... people will argue til they are blue in the face about it. my feeling is that if you value the experience of eating in the castle and eating with the princesses over food then it is definitely worth it. if you put them about equal it might still be worth it as the combo of decent food and stellar experience might come out ahead. if food is your primary concern and no atmosphere will make up for just decent food at that price then you are unlikely to see the value... but no one can really answer this question for anyone else.

You can always split how you pay. Credits for one person, cash for the other.
in particular this makes a LOT of sense if you have kids. the $38 price tag on a kid meal is a decent use of 2 TS credits as any meal NOT a buffet will be much less expensive than that at a TS. You can't find a kid meal remotely approaching $19 on value at a non buffet TS.

I'd use credits for the kids and pay cash for adults then pay cash for kids meals at a regular order off the menu restaurant.
