OK, I know this a big demand breakfast, and I know there is a lot of interest in it, so I am going to write what happened, and I'm doing it just in the spirit of passing along the information and giving encouragement to others.

We've never really been interested in cinderella's breakfast. My wife Melissa and I and my mother in law and aunt had dinner at the castle a few years ago, so we had seen in there, and so it wasn't a big thing for us. We have a toddler boy. So we had never caught the fever.

So we are going to wdw the coming holidays. We actually have two reservations, Dec. 23-Jan 1 at OKW, then on new years we move to wilderness lodge villas for a week. That second week, our family is joined by a couple from here who are good friends of ours and also have dvc and also staying at wilderness lodge. They have a daughter who will be just under two years old that week.

So I talked to them tonight and asked them to think about where they'd like to eat, because we were thinking that we should make some reservations sometime around now. She mentioned that they were thinking about taking Katherine to cinderella's breakfast. OK, I thought, I've read about this challenge, and we'll jump in to help. I said, OK, start calling tomorrow morning and we'll call too. You know what, if anybody gets through, we'll try to get a table for the whole group (it will be seven adults and the two toddlers), but if we can't get that, we'll try to get it for three so at least you two can take Katherine. OK, sounds like a plan.

So I wasn't sure about the whole 90 day thing and which day we'd be calling for. So at 7:30 tonight I figured I'd call wdw-dine and ask them what day we'd be calling for tomorrow morning, what time they opened for calls, did we have to call a different number for 9 people, etc. So I tell the wonderful reservation person what days we are staying and asked her what day we'd be calling for. She said, well, you could book any day until Jan. 15. Oh, no, I thought. If we can book until the 15th we are doomed, because we are checking out on the 8th. Hang on a second, she said, let me see if I can find something. OK, I said.

Guess what. Table for 9, Thursday Jan. 5 at 8:50 am. Wow, I never thought I'd get excited about a reservation, but I'll admit I was pretty amazed. The CM was so great, I think she was amazed, too. So, again, I don't know all the details of how the system works, but if you are really trying hard for that reservation and you don't get it first thing in the morning, don't give up. It couldn't hurt to give it another shot. It may just be a really slow week, but I don't know. But anyway here is an example of getting one later in the evening.

Now I think I'm going to go look at Deb Will's site and see what we are having for breakfast and how much it costs. She took my credit card and said it was $10 per person deposit, but I didn't think to ask about the cost!

I just had the same experience the other day with Cinderella's Castle Breakfast!! I was NOT at all expecting to get a reservation since they can be mae soo far in advance but when I called I actually received one!!! I was soo excited. The girl on the phone could not even believe it, she said it was the first time she has ever had a opening when she has looked one up there! I guess it was a by chance thing, I don't know if someone cancelled or what but I am VERY gratefull to be going and I'm sure my girls will be also!

For last Janaury I got breakfast for CRT for the first day I called. I got right through, got the time I wanted, and thought what's the fuss about. I called back two days later, got the day I really wanted, and cancelled the first one. Again with no trouble and again thinking what's the fuss about.

For May my D-I-L said she wanted to pick where we ate, but then wouldn't decide. Our 90 day mark passed and I was getting a little panicky. Finally the last two days I called just for CRT. I didn't get it either time and suddenly found out what the fuss was all about. However, I called the next day, had good luck making the rest of our ADRs, so while I was on the phone I asked the CM to please check for a breakfast CRT any day during the week. She laughed and I said 'yeah I know it's a long shot, but would you please check'. In just a moment I heard her say "I don't believe it, but I can get you in for breakfast on your last day". I told her I had called for that day just the day before and it wasn't available. She said someone apparently called that morning, got the day they really wanted, so cancelled the other one. This was about 10:00am.

For our trip in Dec I called at 90 days and immediately told the CM I wanted CRT for Dec 14th. She told me that if I was booking anything >90 days then she had to have my resort ressie#. I told her I was doing a split stay at POFQ and CSR and was afraid that by the time I gave her both ressies I would lose CRT and PSB, so could I please give them to her after we made the ADRs. She wouldn't let me and the whole time I was giving her both resort ressie #'s I just knew I was losing CRT and PSB. However I got both of them--CRT at 95 days out and PSB at 97 days out, again with no problem.

One of the CMs told me that for people who don't get CRT at 90+10 to call back every day because #1 people will cancel as they get the day they really want and #2 not all the tables are opened up at 90+10. They open up some tables only at the 90 day mark. If that doesn't work, she also recommends calling at 48 hours before you want to eat as that's when people can still cancel and not lose their deposits.

Good advice. I've also seen availabilities on the same day. When at MK, just stop over there for the heck of it. You might get in.

We're staying at the Swan for Dec 30 and 31,and are not eligible for the 90+10 window. We switch to OKW on Jan 1, and at that point can do the 90+10 ressies. When I called 90 days out from Jan 1, there was no availability for either Jan 3 or 4, the only two days we could fit it in. So I tried back at the 90 day mark for Jan 3 and was able to get a table for 5 at 9:00. The CM said that they do hold some tables for the 90 day mark, so if you don't get it, keep trying.

Good luck.

Mike
