Okay so we will be at Disney for my dd's 8th bday and I am going to try to make a reservation for CRT for her big day. Any suggestions on which meal to try for? I am thinking breakfast to start off her big day with a bang but didn't know if the meals are better for lunch or dinner? For those of you that have gone did you have an easier time getting a reservation for one of the meals. I also want to order her one of the glass slipper cakes - any suggestion on how you did it there? Should I tell them when I make the reservation that it is her birthday and will they take the cake order then?

Thanks!

Breakfast is still the most popular of all 3 meals. Dinner is not really a character meal; you only get your photo with Cinderella downstairs and then the Fairy Godmother and the two mice do a brief ceremony every so often but do not circulate.

Breakfast is my favorite meal, the earliest ADR possible on a non-early entry day is my favorite ADR to have.

You would call the cake hotline to order any kind of cake at CRT. Just follow the prompts.

"Cake Hotline" for Guests requesting celebratory cakes at most Table Service dining locations. The Cake Hotline number is 407-827-2253 and requires 48 hours notice.

We celebrated my DD's 7th bday @ CRT breakfast last year....

I did tell the CM when I made the ADR that it was her birthday so they made a notation. They gave me the phone # to call in order to order the slipper dessert. I ordered it about 2 months prior to the trip.

The breakfast was absolutely magical! My 2 DD's and I went for a girls' only meal (DH was off in Epcot). We got a wonderful table overlooking Fantasyland :lovestruc . The Princesses were very attentive and our server presented my DD with a birthday certificate signed by all the princesses princess:

My favorite part was this... during the wishing ceremony, my DD closed her eyes and waved her wand and "wished" for something.... when she opened her eyes, she looked disappointed. I asked her what she'd wished for. She wanted a Sherbert Webkinz   I asked her if there was something ELSE she wanted as she'd been talking about nothing but the slipper dessert my younger DD got the year before @ 1900 Park Fare for her 4th bday.... she said "Oh yeah-the slipper!" She closed her eyes again and really concentrated.... at that very moment, our server appeared almost as though it were orchestrated perfectly and placed it in front of my DD.... when she opened her eyes-the slipper dessert was in front of her! :cloud9: :goodvibes :thumbsup2 Oh how perfect it was!!!!! :cheer2: :cheer2:

She still talks about that "wish" all the time :lovestruc

I do hope that your DD has a magical day there as well!! Good luck getting the ADR you hope for! :thumbsup2

Wow kidmom2000 what a great story!!! We have 2 big Webkinz fans here so I can totally relate to that being the 'wish'! Too cute! It sounds like it was a perfect birthday meal. One question about the slipper cake - can you request chocolate or vanilla?

Thanks for all the replies - I now know I want to go for breakfast - it isn't until the end of Sept so I will try to be on the phone the moment they open 180 days out! I'd love to take her to the Bibbity Boutique first and then head to breakfast but I will take whatever reservation I can get for the meal and work with it!

Last year I took my sister to Cindy's for dinner and breakfast for her birthday, and we were just talking about it the other day she was saying how much better the dinner was, because of the fireworks. Also she liked the food better at dinner then breakfast. She said only room service for breakfast this year.

We had a window seat for our dinner which was lovely, the food at dinner was also nice but there was very little interaction with the mice.

Thanks for the added feedback about dinner. I think breakfast will be my first choice but it is good to know that dinner would still be a good backup plan if that is what I could get.

Anyone else take their dd to the BBB before Cindy's? They are right next to each other right? Any idea on how much time I should leave between appts? The BBB opens at 8 so if I could get one of the first appts would I have enought time if I could get a 9 - 9:30 breakfast time?

I believe it's always the same-a white chocolate slipper filled w/ the chocolate mousse? Here is a pic of the one @ breakfast last year...

On our trip a few weeks ago we did BBB before Cindy's. Our BBB appointment was for 8:50am and our Cindy's ADR was for around 10:30. When I called, I made the Cindy's ADR first. Then, when I called BBB, they recommended a time based on my ADR. It worked out great and yes they are right next to each other.

Dark chocolate slippers have been 'randomly' showing up at CRT since the end of last year. It was not ordered and a surprise to those dining there.

If you really prefer dark chocolate, it can't hurt to ask. I think when they first introduced this dessert for the 50 Year celebration, it was going to be dark chocolate but then they changed their minds for some reason.

You cannot get dark chocolate at GF though. There have been no reports of dark chocolate slippers at GF and only reports of people asking and being told NO.

Here's what it would look like in dark chocolate:

Thanks for the photos! Do you ask when you order it for them to put the 'Happy Birthday' on the plate?

We just ate breakfast at the castle on Feb. 15th for our dd's 12th birthday. Here is the slipper dessert we ordered. I mentioned when ordering it that she LOVES chocolate and this is the result.

The breakfast was really magical for a birthday. They decorated the table with confetti "Cinderella" coach pumpkins and all the princesses signed a magical moments certificate for her. We had a table by the window with a view of Fantasyland.

I highly recommend the castle breakfast for your dd's birthday!
