Cinderella meal question

My daughter is going on a Make A Wish trip to WDW in October (hopefully, dates not set yet but they said they would work with us on dates and I know when we would like to go). She wants to eat with Cinderella. I am trying to figure out which would be better, CRT or 1900 Park Faire. They both have pros and cons. CRT, it is "the castle" however Cinderella doesn't circulate, however other princesses do circulate and I am sure we can interact with Cinderella elsewhere in the park. At 1900 Park Faire, Cinderella does circulate but it is not "the castle".

I guess my questions are mainly in regards to the 1900 Park Faire dinner. Who has been there fairly recently and how was it? I tried to do a search on this site but it isn't letting me. I have seen some reports about a "Opening Ceremony" and dancing around the room or something, but it looks like the hours are 4:30-8:00 or something, so obviously too long for one show, so what is the deal with that? Plus is Prince Charming there? I know is he is not guaranteed, but what have people seen who have gone?

Is Prince Charming ever at CRT?

Just in case people are intersted (curious, whatever), my daughter is 5, will be 6 in June and was diagnosed June 1, 2005 with Aplastic Anemia, a disease in which her body does not make blood cells. She had a Bone Marrow Transplant in November. We are from California but have been undergoing treatment in Wisconsin. DD and I will be going home for a visit in a couple of weeks, our first time home in 7 months. Overall she is doing really well and things are looking up, although we never know what the future will hold with regards to the chemo and drugs she has had for the BMT.

Sorry for all the questions and thank you to anyone who has some input.

Skoopman,
I haven't been to Park Fare but am going in August. This isn't a show, but a buffet dinner and Cinderella and Prince Charming, Fairy Godmother and the mice, Suzy and Perla are there. So it doesn't last 4 hours. I just wanted to say that I'll say a prayer for your daughter. It's so hard when someone in your family is sick. I have tears while I'm typing this. I couldn't imagine a child. I have 3 , and a 3 1/2 year old granddaughter. I'm very close with my sister and she has MS and is now in a wheelchair. I hope we can go to WDW together this December, but sometimes she can hardley move her hands or move at all. We were there in 2001 and she was fine. I hope your family has a really wonderful time. I'll keep your family in my prayers.

I'd recommend Park Fare 1900. It's better interaction with the characters. Go to wwww.allearsnet.com for menus and detailed info!

Enjoy! October is a great time to go!

We went to 1900 Park Faire for Cinderella's Gala Feast for my daughter's second birthday dinner. She absolutely loved it. Cinderella and Prince Charming are both there and came around once to each table and interacted with my daughter and posed for pictures. The two girl mice were also there and kept coming back. My daughter had a ball playing with them and we have some really great pictures of her with the mice. They are very playful and fun. The fairy godmother was there but she did not go from table to table but was sitting out front on a bench and she did pose for pictures with my daughter. There were many many birthdays celebrations going on. The food was great! They have prime rib on the buffet as well as many other delicious choices.

We have not yet been to CRT, but we will be going for dinner on May 3rd....I could not get the lunch. I can tell you that the dinner does not have all the princesses going around to all the tables. You do get your picture taken with Cinderella downstairs before you go up. The mice and the Fairy Godmother host the dinner and come in to announce special occasions and things.

I hope that you have a wonderful time no matter what you all decide upon.

Last year we ate breakfast at CRT and had a dinner at 1900 PF. It was exciting to eat in the castle, but the food really wasn't all that good. DD enjoyed meeting all the princesses. To me it was all rather chaotic and rushed, but our kids loved it. I'm glad we went, but we probably will never do it again.

We really enjoyed the dinner at 1900 PF. The food was really good -- far superior to what is offered at other character buffets. The interaction with Cinderella and Prince Charming was great. Plus the Fairy God Mother is in the lobby.

I guess it will depend on what would make your daughter's day most -- eating in the castle, or having more interaction with Cinderella.

Last year we were also able to see Cinderella in Toon Town in the tent. She was there along with Snow White. That would be a great place for your daughter to meet more princesses.

Pixie Dust to your daughter for a full recovery. Make A Wish is such a wonderful organization. I hope you have a wonderful trip and that your daughter feels like a true Princess!

I vote for Park Fare, you will be able to see Cinderella, the Prince, the Fairy Godmother and the mice. They spend more time with you as well!

We did the dinner buffet at 1900 Park Fare and lunch at CRT in December. The only good part of the lunch was that it was in the castle (read that, good atmosphere.) The characters weren't well cast and didn't spend any real time with the girls. The girls commented that DD would be a better Snow than the one there....the character had brown eyes and dark skin! The girls barely ate anything.

1900 Park Fare was a blast. Good food, good character interaction.
