Cinderella Castle to turn brown

Sorry. Don't like the brown color at all. Hopefully, they keep it just the way it is.

There's no hoping - they are already painting it - proof positive Disneyfan06 and Safetymom's pics!

Yep, they are definatly doing it. We were there from Sept 30th - Oct. 10. They had painting crews on the castle everyday we went to the magic kingdom. I didn't get any pictures of the brown, stupid me thought it was just primer. Must be the new color! The side facing tomarrow land was being painted while we were there. The blue really looked nice your could definatly tell the parts that still needed to be done.

Here are some pictures of the crane. I heard a few people complaining about it, but it did come down every day by mid afternoon.

I like the new color. Plus, it gives me an excuse to take lots more photos of the castle when we go in April. DH and the kids are always teasing me about the amount of castle pics I end up taking. "Mommmmmm.....it looks the same as it always does"! Ha! Not anymore, kids!!

I like the new color scheme. I think to me it looks brighter and more inviting. But everyone hates change right?? I didn't mind the gold accents either, but I couldn't stand the pink Birthday cake--that was the worst!

Yuck! I was so excited to finally have the "real" castle back, and now they're changing it again! At least give us some break after all the gold!

I have to agree the pink birthday cake was the worst!!!! The brown is just another color.....I like the original best.

I get depressed everytime I see this thread.

I still can't believe they are painting the beautiful castle brown.
I know no one likes change, but I mean, seriously? Brown? What are

So at first I was horrified with this new paint scheme. Then I saw the photos of the other castle, and to be honest, it's not brown. It's more of a tan color. And, in my opinion, it looks a lot richer and more, well, I guess the term would be "wealthy"-looking. While I agree that the original is always going to be the best, after seeing how they're going to incorporate the colors makes the original grey castle look so plain! I think it's going to look more elegant.

And to the poster who said "gold barbed wire" ... I think that the castle never looked better. The gold was absolutely stunning. In fact, I think they should have just kept the gold up. Minus the big mirror.

Let's not even get started on the castle cake. Whoever thought of that idea must have been eating some very special brownies. Sheesh.

At first I was like "oh my God, brown??" But the pictures of the Toyko castle are amazing, I wouldn't mind the change. The castle is beautiful no matter what!

I'm glad they weren't working on it(that I saw) while we were there. I adore the castle as it is. It is beautiful. Maybe the brown will grow on me once it's finished or even better if I saw it in person!

I just recieved a set of Postcards with the YOAMD logo on the box they came in on the Turrets were the newer Blue but the castlel it's self is as white as the clouds that it sits in.

I don't really care either way but I'm hoping it's a primer.
