Cinderella Castle Announcement

Have you heard?
It was announced today at D23 that Cinderella’s Castle is returning to its original colors. What’s your thoughts on this? I, for one, am very very excited about this!

I don’t think they were that concerned about parks announcements. They didn’t hold a parks session after the massive one last year, so expectations were pretty low. Too early to offer more details on the major projects, you can let those simmer until they’re closer to opening.

Of course, sounds like they’ll be holding events at Honda Center again next year so… we’ll see.

I don’t love the current color palette but I don’t think paint is announcement worthy. I get there was no park section but paint? I feel like it’s just sad if that’s all they have.

I like the current look, as it makes the castle look more like the castles at DLP and DL. Plus it gives added dimension to the castle. The more monochrome look is more two dimensional to me, and rather bland, but I don’t hate it. I just like the current look more. I will be sad to see the change, but I would guess the projections will look better on the less colorful castle.

I didn’t mind the cake castle, but it was known to be temporary from the start and no one expected it to stay that way.

I'm not in the business of telling people how they should enhance their homes...least of all, Cinderella. It's that "return to retro-chic" that is very trendy. She probably watched HGTV and said, "Everything old is new again!" So, here we go....dove gray and cornflower blue accents. Great. It's been done before!

The rose gold craze was cool for a hot minute. We’re now applauding what should have been done right after the 50th celebration was over - but whatever, I’m glad it’ll happen.

I didn't mind the temporary cake castle either. In fact I just bought a t-shirt with a picture of the cake castle that says "Bring it back cowards!"
